Remember Taliban is just a euphemism for Islam for the non-Muslims.

euphemism for afghanistan. religion is always a smokescreen. I find that way of living really strange, its like they are samurai refusing to join modern Japan, the defiance against occupation I understand but why are they so aggressive? Its like the drunk guy at the bar ready to pick a fight with anyone that glances.

Get that beard neatened, put a nice shirt on and take your lady out for dinner and live life

Afghanistan really is a total basket case of a country, the fix will take decades.

says who ??
You made a low-iq tier statement in which you implied that Islam is the reason Afghanistan is in its current state; meanwhile which Islam is responsible for the current state of El Salvador? Or any other secular country rife with civil unrest? Give me a break.

One thing which I cannot understand is that why some people in pakistan are so unnecessarily scared of afghan taliban?
Afghan Taliban will never be able to impose their rules or government in pakistan. Because in afghanistan they have a public support whereas in pakistan there is no place for Taliban and their ideology. Secondly afghan society even without Taliban is very tribal, primitive and conservative. Even without taliban those strict rules are being followed in some areas. Pakistani society except the very few 2% is composed of moderate Muslims who can talk big but in practice they have adapted themselves well to a modern lifestyle. Never ever in pakistan such extreme conservative radical political parties ever got a majority of vote to rule a country. How can a huge 220 million will ever allow such Taliban ideology,it's impossible. And for Taliban it's far easy to impose their ideology on 30 million willing afghans than on 220 million pakistanis who will never support their interpretation of Islam.

Afghan society way before the Soviet invasion was deeply conservative. Taliban can function in that society ,no way they will be ever able to rule in Pakistani society.
All that Taliban oppression and human rights violations bla bla is a western and indian propaganda. A militant group of 100,000 fighters can't rule afghan masses if they doesn't have a public support. Specially in afghanistan where every other citizen is trained to fight and armed to teeth.

It would take some time after the west is out of Afghanistan and the Taliban are fully in control to see what is going on.

At this point, propaganda war is going on and you can't fully tell the difference between truth, falsehood and a mixture of both (more dangerous).

Remember, Pakistan has also been accused of having child soldiers.

The US may be leaving but that doesn't mean they are happy about their loss or that they'd stop their usual propaganda.

It may well turn out that they are terrible and we'd learn of it sooner or later. At this point they are more of a fighting force than a government.

Let's see what they are once their political leadership starts to emerge.
The Taliban are a totalitarian dictatorship.
Their ideology is an extreme version of Shariah.
They are uncompromising in their interpretation and imposition of it.
They are a curse. They are incorrigible.
The only reason Pakistani posters are supporting them is because they are seen as pro Pakistan. They are not. They are pro their own backward, extremist, messianic ideology.
If ever they manage to wipe out their internal opposition they will turn on their neighbours, including Pakistan.
The TTP are a trailer of what is to come.

But why don't hey elaborate on those changes? Are they limited to military capability alone?

Yeah, no liberal says "their country, their rules" because the entire point of liberalism is freedom of choice.

Besides which came first. France (one country out of so many European countries) banning burka or so many Muslim countries making the burka compulsory.

This "their country, their rules" would work if you guys didn't cry Islamophobia everytime their right wing would enforce laws to "preserve culture."

Read above.

Beardless Imran Khan would be probably jailed under Taliban rule, I reckon you would enjoy that too then 🤡

Some Pakistanis here pretending that the Taliban is not the Taliban 20 years ago and is actually progressive or some shit 🤡🤡

Fun fact: When a Pakistani football team travelled to Afghanistan in 1999/2000 for a football match, the Taliban had their heads shaved as punishment for wearing shorts because they wanted full-body covering clothes.

Afghanistan wasn't entirely deeply conservative before Soviet invasion. Kabul used to be a modern city for example. Afghanistan was rather split on the lines of Islam and Communism.

Do you recall areas under control of TTP in Pakistan in the days before Pakistan Army launched a military operation to dislodge it? TTP were able to impose their will on people in virtually any region. Those who opposed them were killed.

You are mistakenly assuming that entire Afghanistan love Taliban. Many do not but they do not have a choice. There are reports and photos of thousands of Afghans fleeing from Taliban to other regions but for how long? Please stop drawing your own conclusions about Afghanistan as a whole.

Why do you think there is Civil War in Afghanistan? If all love Taliban, there won't be a Civil War and Afghanistan would be peaceful.

If they persecute the liberals and the women, we will persecute their conservatives.
how? do you mean that to avenge the persecution in Afghanistan you will scale up the rate /speed of lynchings of other Indians?

that will teach the afghans to not hurt afghans

We have 1.4 billion zombies in modern china , ably represented in pdf. When people have limited or zero choices , they adapt or perish.
If you can't beat them , join them , etc.
you have near enough 1.4 billion zombies in modern bharat. majority of whom are embracing RSS and Yogi terror willingly. before long all dissenting voices will be purged unless lord vishnu sends another avatar to wreak havoc. it seem he failed last time when he came as Corona.

@my stalker: this is NOT a religious insult but a decree from Hindu mahasabha which says that it was Lord Vishnu come to punish the wrongdoers

Hindu Mahasabha says coronavirus an 'angry avatar' to ... - Mint

If just wearing a pant shirt and showing it's face is a definition of being modern then that still does happen in Kabul or some other big city.
I said the majority supports not the entire population.
TTP faced opposition of the local population plus the army so we managed to kicked them out. That's not the case in afghanistan, they have a plenty of public support overthere that's why US and NATO failed.
TTP and afghan Taliban are not comparable.

Maybe so. But what do you suggest Pakistan do at this point in time?

Most of the Pakistanis get their knowledge of the Taliban from CNN,Fox News and ANI and then act like they finished a thesis on the insurgency in Afghanistan just a week ago.
Their chief negotiator has a PHD while our country is ruled by people who have not even passed high school, they can figure out their country and we should focus on our own hellhole.

ISIS's Al Baghdadi also held a PHD.
