Ahmer Khokhar On Oct 5, 2020 Last updated Oct 5, 2020

LAHORE: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and other Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders have been booked on treason charges, ARY News reported on Monday.

The case was registered at the PS Shahdara on the complaint of a local citizen Badar Rasheed.

Maryam Nawaz, former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Pervez Rasheed, Khawaja and Rana Sanaullah were also named in the case.

Elder Sharif and other PML-N leaders are deliberately defaming the state institutions and carrying out hate speeches, the FIR read.
Badar Rasheed in his plea further stated that Nawaz Sharif is convicted by Pakistani courts and doing speeches against the country’s institutions from London.
He has urged the authorities to take action against Nawaz Sharif and other PML-N leaders under the Pakistan Prevention of Electronic Crime Act.

On Sunday, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Captain (retired) Safdar Awan had also been booked on treason charges over his anti-state speeches.
The case was registered at the Satelite Town Police Station Gujranwala over the complaint of SHO. Safdar Awan in his press conference on Saturday had criticized state institutions.

Excellent news.

The authorities should not hold back. The full wrath of the law should be used to put these crooks behind bars or even death. I am astounded that they have the nerve to hold their heads up high and point at others. In the past the judiciary has been weak, allowing things to meander and drift allowing these parasites to come back stronger.

Let it be an example to others and sentence them to death. You may think im being drastic but i believe for the sake of our nation taking these measures. Too much trial adjournment re trial etc - do the right thing this time and show some balls......

Has Altaf Hussain and Husain Haqqani not gone to the same limits before? What has the state done to punish them?

Today Nawaz can do acts of treasons because he knows the state will not come after him. When you have one law for the rich and another for the poor, you are bound to witness moral deterioration like this. Act not and have another scum turning into Nawaz. Moulana Fazal-ul-Rehman is the next candidate.

It is not pleasant to see another Altaf in making. We never liked the first one either. Worthless as he may be, the fact that you turned another convicted criminal into an enemy of the state - is a failure of the state.

Kangaroo Courts in action in Naya Pakistan.

First convict those who allowed the annexation of Indian Occupied Kashmir after 72-years without firing a single bullet.
Thats kashmir....

What about the criminal annexation by Nawaz and cronies for decades.

The very fact that these plunderers and criminals have ravaged pakistan, means Kashmir is where it is
