Before talking about nuclear and balistic Missiles, Myanmar should do something for their own grunts. With the hardship like this, no wonder they had the largest dessertion Rates even among developing countries army. They even can't spare more money for decent backpack and keep using Wicker bag

It's not like Myanmar needs nukes to deter Bangladesh.....

For Myanmar to beat the hell out of Bangladesh in a war is a matter of week or two.....thanks to BD defense planners with full of laxity....

Myanmar needs nukes because his military ambitions are big..... China is certainly helping it out to materialize because of her own ambitions in SCS and malacca region they need another very powerful ally like North Korea in her south.... nuclear Myanmar will be useful to threaten India too who is one of the biggest enemy of China..... there is little USA can do to stop nuclear program of Myanmar when China decides to materialize it.....

Members here should not underestimate the level of Chinese military and strategic cooperation with her 3 prime allies North Korea, Pakistan and Myanmar.....
The moments Myanmar had ambition in Malacca strait, the trio founding member of ASEAN who depend their life on the strait will bombing back Myanmar to stone age, let alone let the likes of Burma build nuclear weapons

You sure like pulling photos out of the archive to reference years after the photos were taken don't you. If you look at the latest photos taken with the war in Rakhine you will see the equipment has improved a lot from years ago. Also are you one of those military extremest because a war between ASEAN countries is not possible because both sides will end up losing.

Listen there is article X in the NPT which allows a state to withdraw from NPT. North Korea withdrew from the treaty and made their own bomb.

If you leave Myanmar then there is Iran who also might have nuclear weapons or other states might also possess nukes. The European nations and USA won't allow the repeated use of article X.

Myanmar might face severe economic sanction if they revoke from the NPT.

Enough of the cock fight, please post relevant materials related to the topic.
Right now they don't plan to test its nukes..... the day they feel the need to test you will see them walking out of NPT.....

If you check even China Inspite of being a nuclear power had poorly equipped soldiers for many years.....

Indian troops conditions was so bad during kargil that I remember seeing 1 soldier wearing one black shoe and another white shoe.....that photo might be still available somewhere on Google.....it happens.... Burma is under modernization process and with comparatively smaller economy it will take them some time to change everything.....

But what I like about this nation Burma is they talk less and quietly keep doing their work..... not like India, Pakistan and BD.... all talk and no action.....

About malacca strait I mean powerful Burma is in Chinese intrest in case some other power tries to choke Chinese shipping lines then only China may look at Burma to help them by challenging the blockading power..... its not like Burma will keep harassing malacca shipping lines 365 days a year.....
In BOB also they need powerful Myanmar to keep India and Bangladesh in check.....

This Nike guy is a muslim from Indonesia. He hates Myanmar because of the Rohingya issue. Kindly ignore him. He will spill venom against Myanmar whether you show him the actual scenario or not.

Nike is not a 'guy', secondly a human being with a functioning conscious will despise Myanmar and their Genocidal acts.

The continued existence of Myanmar is a disgrace for humanity.

@Nike , as an indonesian, has quite positive view on Myanmar in previous cases. I know her since I was here. I dont think she is insulting on us, unlike many bangladeshi here. Anyhow, we need to upgrade intensively our infantry, starting from squad level. one by one. instead of continuously seeking big toys. Current upgrades are not enough and need to invest there more and more.

And that's that then, the child has degenenrated to name calling.

Anyhow, Burma lovers will pay soon enough, government is losing its patience, how long will the police protect those who openly support Myanmar against Bangladesh ?

Not long, maybe we will soon see reverse refugee crisis, little islanders can take some in maybe.

Pledge allegiance to Bangladesh and its core tenets or Perish.

Muslim Bangladeshis raging and running riot.... because of some distant country in Europe

But it's the tiny minority of Bangladeshi Buddhists that's the issue

I understand that we are lacking in personal equipment for the troops but the part about ASEAN bombing Myanmar ticks me off since I'm a pro-ASEAN guy.

Myanmar is a unstable country which is suffering from civil war. The country may disintegrate like Yugoslavia. Then the Rohingya issue will create problem for Myanmar. Moreover West, India and China is playing proxy in Myanmar.

Moreover Tatmadaw will be respected if they have nukes. North Korea has nothing to offer to the world yet they are highly respected because of their nukes.

Neither myanmar is an unstable country nor any civil war is happening there. Rohingya are fleeing myanmar and are too few in numbers to create any problems for them. And what proof do you have that India is fighting a proxy war there?

From the beginning only I was telling here that Myanmar is a hidden nuclear power..... now this missile program simply confirms why Myanmar now wants to have Ballistic missiles......
Anyways let's leave all the unnecessary conversation and focus on the topic. Please watch the link below. The news is from 2018. It seems Myanmar still bought missiles from North Korea even after warning.

Look no further. This source from Japanese TV and from this year 2020. The Burmese space programme has already reached the stage when it is no longer a state secret and disclosure to the public is allowed!

The first screen grab, from a 14th August 2020 video shows what resembles no other known space launchers, though very conservative and conventional in its design, made of seemingly two stages of the same diameter.

The first ever image captured from an unknown Burmese space rocket, during an official interview with Dr Kyi Thwin, President of the Myanmar Aerospace Engineering University:

1. The first ever image captured from an unknown Burmese space rocket.

And the larger picture, showing both a manned spacecraft (simply a scale model of the Chinese Shenzhou) and a manned space launcher (the Chinese CZ-2F).

And a tentative photogrammetric reconstruction of the first Burmese Space Launcher:

Conclusion expect a first flight test of this new rocket within months!
