The problem is only an overgrowth of an algal bloom in Lake Erie near the water intakes for the city of Toledo. This issue will be resolved relatively quickly, no doubt.

The problem is fixed they conducted some more test and increased the cleaning process at the treatment plant.

These blooms happen every year without any issues. This year the light winds reduced churn in the lake and produced a local overgrowth, that is all. No big deal.
