I'm sorry I didn't see the second article, I do wish that you'd attach a 'source' linkage to it !

However after going through the Article, unless I'm mistaken it were not the Police Records but the HRCP records that stated that as many as 25 Hindu women are abducted & forced to convert - Something that could not be independently verified & the HRCP's facts & figures on Baluchistan are muddied enough for me to not have blind reliance on them !

Furthermore, I believe that Ms.Kumari's case went through the proper channels & the Supreme Court of Pakistan after the due process of law, judicial precedent & equity determined that she had in fact married & converted of her own free will other than that the aspersions cast remain 'aspersions' & not facts otherwise the Prosecution would have given some evidence to substantiate their claim of forced conversion & kidnapping !
I cannot comment about the h.c.r.p,but did you really read the second article with an open mind.In that it clearly states that HIndu women are kidnapped and are forced to marry to obtain respectability of marriage.Do you not read between the lines, they are kidnapped and raped. The only option to protect their dignity in the society is to marry the same abductor. But i really liked your joke about "free will",her grandfather shot dead, she receives threats and she succumbs to those threats....what case will the prosecution have, the main accuser is so scared that she won't admit it anymore, what witness can she provide...tell me which muslim man will go against their own brethren to support a kaffir.

No, not at all but yours or my narrative of reality cannot wish away the fact that 'this' is a fictitious account written by the author as per her perception of reality to impress upon us something she passionately believes in !
Well, sometimes reality is stranger than fiction.. And one man's fiction is another's reality.. Kinda like perception..

Great artistic work there! Never knew Bhavna Vij-Aurora was that good at fiction. Can't understand why is she still a reporter?

and someone was saying that minorities are safer in pakistan...:disagree:
They are having a bit bad time but same is true for rest of other Pakistanis, majority. Even in a civilized society minorities are vulnerable, albeit to a very small extent.

I did try to read the article with an open mind however when I expect 'evidence' I do really expect 'evidence' & not hearsay therefore whereas I cannot deny the possibility that Hindu women are kidnapped & are forced to marry & convert for we've got a lot of messed up things in our society of late nor can I affirm it on the magnitude of what is asserted by the article nor the veiled reference therein of it being institutionalized !

On to Ms.Kumari - I was under the impression that her Grandfather was shot 'at' & not shot 'dead' either way the Prosecution wasn't able to link that to the case in hand & substantiate their claim. The Highest Court of Pakistan unfettered by any PPP politician as is alleged of the course that was taken during the lower courts carried out the due process of the law & gave the verdict.

Now if the HRCP or anyone else has any evidence to suggest that the Court proceedings were made Malafide or Ultra-Vires, they are & they were more than welcome contest it further through a new case.

By the way. What persuaded you to start this thread with an April 2012 article.

Trolling urge?
Nope,i actually read about it just on quora....so i posted about it,but does an old article not need repetition if it doesn't then why does every other day an article about kashmir opens, the same arguments presented or for that matter rapes in india.
