It seems not everyone in Southeast Asia is as eager as Vietnam in turning the neighborhood into a Cold War playground between U.S and China.

Honestly, I'm a bit surprised that the Philippines, a Major non-NATO ally of the United States and a country who suffered from Chinese military adventurism (Mischief Reef) in the South China Sea during the 90s, would be the first to speak out against U.S involvement in the dispute.
