But we have already tried this reactive strategy for two decades now, and this threat has not diminished completely. Also a tit-for-tat against Indians is not the way to go. Indians have waged war against us (through these proxies). We should ( have ) respond(ed) back in kind to the best of our available capabilities. I reckon if Indian GHQ or airbases were 'attacked', as a response to attacks on our installations, Indians would have been deterred and the war ended quickly

A fully manned border with a concrete wall and armed drone coverage will fix your issue but your funds are limited.

Afghans want access to the sea and they will not stop unless you are proactive on the border.

Bite the bullet, move out FC and bring in troops and drones. Up the defence budget by a billion if you have to.

I hope there is an end to this never-ending war.

Mass education and national integration + social cohesion will mean the real end to this war. Military operations are a means to an end to kill the insurgents, but an effort needs to be made to prevent a civillian from ever becoming or thinking of becoming an insurgent.

Their intelligence networks, recruitment methods must be identified and dismantled. These organisations that operate under the banner of "human rights" or "helping oppressed minorities" while openly taking the name of specific minorities have a hand to play in this situation. They radicalise civillians while presenting themselves as progressive.

This is something Pakistan has been doing for over half a century, our kindness has been seen as weakness countless times. They took advantage of our kindness and took the lives of many of our civllians. They celebrated our dead children with a smile on their face.

There is no singular solution to the problem. The solution is multi-pronged.

-Pakistan must work on making it's internal situation as stable as possible in terms of a competent, motivated national government that has the trust of the people.

- Monitor all NGOs, foreign organisations, "human rights" "minority rights" organisations through covert ISR, moles, get access to their material and speeches.

- Empower local capable counter-insurgency institutions like the FC and local police forces.

-Controlling and monitoring the influx of foreign refugees - especially those from the Afghan/Iran border.

- Maximum security and surveillance on the Afghan-Iranian borders. Get those fencing finished as soon as possible. Finish the forts construction as soon as possible.

- I would also go as far as passing a law which can get people charged for openly supporting banned terrorist organisations that have taken the lives of civillians.
