Lahore blast facilitator's house razed in Bajaur; father, brothers arrested

The Frontier Constabulary and the Fata political administration razed the house of the suspected facilitator of the Lahore blast and arrested his father and two brothers from Bajaur on Monday.

The measures were taken in accordance with the Frontier Crimes Regulations' (FCR) territorial responsibility clause, which states that for any mishap, the administration can take the community or family members of the perpetrator to task and punish them under a collective responsibility clause.

SSP Operations Zahid Gondal of Punjab Police and DIG Traffic Lahore Capt (retd) Ahmad Mobin were among the 13 people killed in the attack, which also left at least 85 injured.

The Jamat-ul-Ahrar had claimed responsibility for the attack.

The suspect was arrested after video evidence placed him in the area of the blast, walking along with the suspected suicide bomber that blew himself on Mall Road near the Punjab Assembly amid a protest.

In his confessional statement, shared by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in a media briefing on Feb 17, the suspect had said he hailed from a remote village in the Bajaur Agency.

“I was associated with Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and they trained me,” the suspect said, adding that he had visited Afghanistan around 15 to 20 times.

Shouldn't have razed their house. Most of the time, these terrorists are disowned by their families and the families have little knowledge about their activities. Matter should've been investigated further.

India should take cue from Pakistan and pass laws to do the same against terrorists in India.

(There is just one problem what if in trial its proved the guy was innocent and Police forced him to make statement to admit the ACT, else Police would kill his family etc.)

Taken straight from the Israeli playbook in terms of dealing with terrorists.

The families are also punished. They say they do it to try to make terrorists think twice about what they're doing..I'm not sure it makes any difference.

Nah, actually dates from local tribal customs themselves. Nothing to do with Israel.

Thats incorrect .. if brother and father are innocent then there should be no punishment for them ... however the facilitator should be killed by hanging on the same place where the bomb blast happened ...

Make him example ... kill him by torture .. but dont punish his fathers or brothers for his crime .. thats in justice ... it is also prohibited in Islam ...

The families of the facilitators as well as the suicide bombers shall be brutally victimized so that potential facilitators and bombers learn lesson of their lives. This brutality can only be crushed by brutality. Enough of love songs and love games. Teach them a good lesson. Be like Russians and Chinese, there shall be no such incidents then.
The people who raise voice for humanity during such scenarios are part of the terrorist organizations hence they try to make sure it isn't stopped forever.
