Wouldn’t J-10C be better for SEAD and DEAD since it’s engine is bigger and it can carry more payload. Is JF-17 engine big enough and powerful enough to support heavy ew equipment?

Once the J-10s are inducted in numbers, they might be considered for such roles but for now their main role must be Air Superiority.

changing the aerodynamic design to make it stealth ( most design consideration is anti stealth ) will require a complete re-do of flight systems and flight controller.

It is much better to design a aircraft from scratch, then to get involved in such tweaking.

No it is not.

The flight parameters of the MIG21 airframe structure are totally different than those of the JF17.

The flight parameters of any 3rd gen aircraft are totally different than those of any 4th gen aircraft---.

The word is SEMI STEALTH---. The signature of the JF can be reduced thru certain measure.

A 5th gen stealth aircraft has to have canted double tails or no tail.
