"The national park authorities are considering an app which would show visitors which villages were too crowded – with a “traffic light” system indicating red for packed, yellow for busy and green for relatively empty

Italy plans tourist quota for 'saturated' Cinque Terre coastline - Telegraph"

Cinque Terre is just a start. The current developments start to become unbearable. Tourism is nice but italy is way to overcrowded in many areas. The museums in Fireze...Venezia...Roma...

I love all people who come but sometimes you have a hard time to find a calm spot to meet with friends or family and i have the feeling it got worse in last 2 years. I think many avoid islamic countries like turkey, tunesia, egypt so italy gets all them. Spain and Portugal have same problems but italy is affected worst.

So i think evry new solution is good both for us locals and tourists.
