ISPR slams Afghan MoD's 'unwarranted' response to Khyber-4 operation
July 19, 2017

The Pakistan Army on Wednesday slammed the "unwarranted ... rhetoric of blames and suggestive allegations" reportedly made by the Afghan Defence Ministry in response to the launch of Operation Khyber-4 in Rajgal Valley.

A report by the Ariana Television Network (ATN) had stated that the Afghan Defence Ministry, in response to the announcement of Khyber-4, had called for military operations in "terrorist centres placed in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta under the monitoring of the United States (US) and China".

Afghan Ministry of Defence Spokesman Dawlat Waziri had alleged that: "Military operations need to be launched in both sides of the Durand Line. Everyone understand the [sic] terrorist centres are located in Pakistan; Quetta Council, Peshawar Council and Miranshah Council that are Taliban groups," according to the ATN report.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a notification today said the Afghan ministry's "response to Operation Khyber-4 is unwarranted and runs counter to Pakistan Army’s efforts for better Pak-Afghan coordination and cooperation".

"The information about Operation Khyber-4 has been shared (twice verbally and in written) with Afghan Forces as well as Resolute Support Mission and [the United States'] Office of the Defence Representative Pakistan," the army's public relations wing stated.

ISPR added that the army anticipates trust-based security coordination and cooperation in the fight against their "common enemy".

The handout called for "rhetoric of blames and suggestive allegations" to be avoided, terming them the "agenda of forces working against order and peace in the region".

Afghans loosing it completely.

Everyday offices in Kabul embarrassing themselves by blaming a 17 year old war, were trillions were spent all the top armies of the world involved on Pakistan. No one in the world takes this narrative seriously.

Absolutely fed up with this far western province of Hindustan known ad AFG. Seal the border fence, mine & trench it with observation towers. Keep out the drugs, weapons smuggling, Polio and Indian influenced/financed terrorism.

If I am reading this correctly, Trump will keep deliberating on Af-Pak policy while Pakistan slowly absorbs adjacent Pashtun majority areas in a controlled, methodical manner. Seriously, this is the best option available to the world. All other paths lead to world war.

The guy is barely literate and unprofessional at best. This kind of incompetence speaks volumes about their efforts elsewhere on the battlefield and in diplomatic circles. As the saying goes, don't interrupt your enemy when they are making mistakes.

Lol which world do you live in? Pakistan and Afghanistan border issue has been as old as August 14th 1947. They tried numerous times to come and take Pakistani land by using irregulars but tribal locals always fought them and humiliated them back in Afghanistan.

As for Iran it's not much of a dispute. Just a set back. Nothing will escalate there.

Sealing the borders with Iran & AFG should be an utmost priority for Gen Bajwa. Secondly a increase in troop numbers maybe required as India and AFG continue with thier dirty murderous war games against Pak.
