Is India the only country that denies it's creation by European colonialists?

We never even used the terms hindu/sindhu/india forget stealing. It was the ancient Persian and later Greeks used those terms to refer to people in this region.
German: when the Persians and others visited this region they called us Greek/Greece...

Greek: that's our region you idiot!

See what I'm getting at?

You need to distinguish the modern Nation State from the Indic Civilization.
Of course the Republic of India is a direct creation of the British Empire. The whole concept of nation states only emerged in the Napoleonic era. Before that present day India was a patchwork of Kingdoms.

What's there to deny?

The concept of Republic and nation was in India way before European crawled out of cave.
What's there to deny? See the madness in quote below.

:crazy:

Grandchildren? You think your ancestors produced Pakistanis and Afghans? Have you seen yourself in the mirror? Are you and your wife capable of producing anything that looks aesthetically pleasing?
You need education. I wish I had the time. This wuhan virus has resulted in me doing bloody everything giving hardly time.

If you are young, you will learn...eventually and will burn.

Tch Tch,
let me put this in perspective by asking you a few questions.

1. Why are a very large majority of indian film stars, actually not from india but what is now pakistan
2. Why is the above trend not prevalent in Tamils ?
Lol. And which film "stars" are these?
The concept of Republic and nation was in India way before European crawled out of cave.
Lol. No, it wasn't.

Nationalism is a European innovation, the first nation states came into being in the 19th centuries in most cases anyway.

China is probably another case of a modern day country which claims a millennia old continuous civilisation.

It was the capital city of the Vajjian Confederacy of Vrijji mahajanapada, considered one of the first examples of a republic around the 6th century BCE. Gautama Buddha preached his last sermon before his death in c. 483 BCE, then in 383 BCE the Second Buddhist council was convened here by King Kalasoka, making it an important place in both Jain and Buddhist religions.[2][3][4] It contains one of the best-preserved of the Pillars of Ashoka, topped by a single Asiatic lion (26.014162°N 85.109220°E).

The city finds mention in the travel accounts of Chinese explorers, Faxian (4th century CE) and Xuanzang (7th century CE), which were later used in 1861 by British archaeologist Alexander Cunningham to first identify Vaiśālī with the present village of Basarh in Vaishali District, Bihar.[5][6]

The concept nation state is pretty new only started to emerge in 1700s, all modern nation state that current exist previously had been ruled by smaller princely states or feudal Lords for most of their history. Be it England, France, Germany, Italy, China, Japan all of them.
A political entity doesn't have to be a nation state, it can be a kingdom, empire, city state like Athen.....etc.
Nation state merely refers to a political entity defined by one common people, a homogenous state.

Historically India isn't a single political entity. Post 1947, India became a state, but not a nation state. India is a union of many nation states.

@Clutch
@Maira La

Indians love to conflate the concept of nation state with political entity( a state) for the obvious reason.

Good points. Now if you can also convince your countrymen that "Fake Pakistan" nation they keep lying about doesn't work.

You are comparing England, France, China and Japan to post-colonial countries like India, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Malaysia?
You think both groups came to existence in same manner?

I think the answer to the question I ask in OP has something to do with average IQ of a nation as displayed by some of you.
