If so at least we are working very hard trying to change it.
Just to let you know, using veto to stop a designation of a terrorist in UN does NOT constitute that "trying". Neither does throwing your weight around. And using stooges to weaken competitors, definitely does NOT.

Well thats a great answer - care to elaborate and how you came to this conclusion?
Thanks for liking my short answer to this stupid question based on my 2 min research, Not going to write a thesis for this.

There's nothing wrong with China as it is, Stop trying to change into what white man appeases.

Today's China is indeed one of the world's most influential countries in the world. Definitely in Top 5, if not Top 3. India on the other hand is not considered even an influential player in her own region.
China and India are both equally influential, China maybe ahead in the game in recent era and has amplified up its game but i dont think you can dismiss India like that. Before RSS Hindutva government India under their congress leadership like MMS was politically powerful and securing chabahar deal in your own country is one example. Indian traders as as influential in Africa as china as well.

I don't know what you mean by "securing" the Chabahar deal. Iran welcomes any foreign direct investment in Iran, particularly when someone says that they can receive exemption from US sanctions or evade them. We will allow Rwanda and Uganda to administer Chabahar as long as they can inject billions of dollars of money into it and develop it without minding US sanctions.

India is not a global player yet. Not even close to it. China is, and has been so for at least the last 15 years.

Firstly I was being sarcastic - obviously went over your little head - secondly next save us all time next time and if you haven’t got anything constructive or to add value to a debate -
Shush.

If you go with this logic than can you explain how is china a ''global player'' and india isnt?

I'm sure we can find more reason if we ponder over the question for a longer period of time, but here are some differences off the top of my head:
1. China has a permanent seat at the UN Security Council. India doesn't have a seat there yet. This establishes China as a "global player" in itself as they have the veto power.
2. China alone, excluding Taiwan and Hong Kong, accounts for 13% of international exports. For India, this figure is 1.7%
3. China is ranked 85 out of 189 countries in the UN Human Development Index. India is ranked 129 out of 189 countries in the same index. China has a higher literacy rate, better access to medicine, better universities, higher standards of living, etc.
4. China has major plans throughout Asia that are changing the shape of the continent, like the Belt and Road Initiative. India does not have such plans as of now. Or does she? Inform me of such plans if they exist, please.

So, in short, China has better strategy, better human capital, better economic prospects and a more influential global position thanks to her permanent presence and veto power at the UNSC.

self contradictory, first of all china had veto power and permanent seat in the UN even before it was a fincial power and its background in WW2 as the state which defeated the axis, in economy, japan has much bigger clout than china and its currency yen is considered as the top currencies in the world, china's belt and road initiative is showing china's power and yet india's chabahar initiative is being compared with any country for instance uganda and Rwanda?, China developement index of 85 is still far behind japan's. China cannot wrestle taiwan despite the fact that taiwan was historically chinese territory, until recently hongkong which is physically part of mainland china was also considered as a separate entity and has economic superiority over mainland chinese states.

none of your critrea matches here tbh, can be easily debunked.

My simple question is if china is so globally superior, why can it not wrestle the areas it claims from India, as India is not even regionally important?

US did not wrest Texas from Mexico for 20+ years.

Then when it did, it took not only Texas but half of Mexico.

US did not wrest Cuba from Spain for 60+ years after it essentially claimed the entire Americas under the Monroe Doctrine.

Then when it did it took not only Cuba but Puerto Rico and Phillipines.

But the problem is this Chernobyl has affected outside countries way more than the host country ...
If you consider Chernobyl as the result of government negligence... then in western countries we're suffering the consequences of OUR governments negligences.

China did it all right to protect their people after outbreak.

Anyway, it's offtopic from this thread.

Covid also show the superiority of China as developing country to handle crisis.

Chinese people trust in their government (or are afraid of them).

Western people dont trust in their government, they lie to us constantly since 2008 economic crisis, and in a big amount of western countries our elites threat bad the poors, as China everyday announces the amount of poor people is smaller.

I think Western way of do things only work well when we had enough cheap energy and raw materials to waste, and when existed the USSR as something to fear by our ruling elites.

In a world with each day less energy and cheap raw materials, and without USSR, the west (specially west europe) is something each day more similar to Hell.
