Which ones are these?,I mean apart from ones such as the lng side of south pars, which couldnt be completed owing to a virtual western monopoly on the technology needed.
The ones that Mr. Raessi were complained about. The one that they have finished 70 to 80 percent of the project and then we're abandoned for several years.

I do not know why you think they will not finish what was already started..That $17 billion dollars industrial development plan is mostly private enterprise funds ..so finishing the left over project and this new " Industrial development" are not mutually exclusive....They have said that they will finish all unfinished projects from previous Government...... one good example that I mentioned in this thread is the Qom monorail project (few pages back)..

Each project have a life . When you had unfinished project from more than 16 year ago it means it better stop inauguration of newer one and finish what you already have

Golden Opportunity for resource rich Iran

«WE’RE OUT OF EVERYTHING» – ALARMING SYMPTOMS OF GLOBAL ECONOMIC SHIFTS.

Jeff Currie, the closely-followed head of commodities research at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., says he’s never seen commodity markets pricing in the shortages they are right now.

“I’ve been doing this 30 years and I’ve never seen markets like this,” Currie said in a Bloomberg TV interview. “This is a molecule crisis. We’re out of everything, I don’t care if it’s oil, gas, coal, copper, aluminum, you name it we’re out of it.”

Not necessarily. Objective priorities can evolve over time, new ones can come to the fore. Changing government policy when a new administration takes over can also affect the priorities. Also, many of the already started projects are long duration ones, which in practice take more than 8 years i.e. more than two presidential terms to complete. Moreover, some of these started projects were in their absolute infancy, to even the ground or order building materials before physical work starts, already qualifies as an inaugurated project. Other than that, aryobarzan's comment is valid: realization of the new projects and previous ones aren't mutually exclusive.

I agree there's a general issue with some unfinished projects in Iran, but in order to know if the recent decision by the administration will contribute to it, much more detailed information would be needed.

you see two days ago in news when mr. Raissi were talking about some unfinished project he talked about some project from 50 years ago ( thats even before the revolution ) do you think there must something be done about them ?
i stated some unfinished roads and railroads in Lorestan , those things have always were priority of all governments before and after revolution

I believe if we want to start a new project first we must finish one unfinished project

As said, the two considerations aren't necessarily mutually exclusive. We lack information to pass judgement as to whether or not the recent investment package introduced by the administration will affect unfinished projects. Also, as mentioned, priorities evolve with changing administrations. For instance, the Rohani government was opposed to adding new social housing units and hence did not invest a dime into it, whereas Raisi is taking the opposite view and will tend to consider it a priority over some regional railway link - therefore fresh funds will now have to be mobilized to this effect.

Yes, the current government is indeed sensitive to the issue of unfinished infrastructures. Which further compounds the supposition that its latest investment plan is not conflicting with the need to carry on with incomplete projects.

Here some pictures of provincial authorities in Fars province touring incomplete (but almost finished) Shiraz sports venues just days ago:

WOW...Out bidding Indian companies....which brings me to question if Iran has such expertise in water management then why it is not done at large scale in southern Iran to fix water problems.

Iranian engineering firm wins major Water System contract in India

  • Contract won by Iranian company Mahab Ghods
  • Contract is for the implementation of an Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) system.
  • Project will be executed in Odisha’s Kharakhari region.

An Iranian engineering consultancy firm wins a major water management project in India’s Odisha state.
An Iranian engineering consultancy firm has been awarded a contract in India to carry out a major water management project east of the country near the Bay of Bengal.
Mahab Ghods, a privately owned company based in the Iranian capital Tehran, said on Wednesday that it had won a contract from India’s Odisha state’s Department of Water Resources for carrying out a project that will be key to agricultural and environmental development in the region.
The company said in a statement that the Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) project will be executed in Odisha’s Kharakhari region, located more than 10 kilometers off the coast of the Bay of Bangal.
It added that Mahab Qods had won the contract amid a fierce competition from top Indian engineering companies.
Odisha is India’s eight largest state by area and the 11th largest by population. It has a major contribution to India’s gross domestic products with its massive agriculture sector.

$1.35 billion dollars contracts for Oil/Gas to local companies
  • Contracts awarded by Iran National Oil company (NIOC)
  • $500 million for building facilities to capture the flaring the gas from East Karoun fields,
  • $800 million contract to local upstream contractor Dana Energy to develop the 2 billion-barrel Sohrab oilfield.
  • Under a 20-year deal, Dana Energy committed Sunday to produce 160 million barrels from the Sohrab field and raise production to 30,000 barrels per day (that is $2,5 million per day!)
  • Sohrab is one of the several fields straddling Iran's border with Iraq. It shares a reservoir with the 1 billion-barrel Huwaiza field in Iraq, which the country's state-owned Misan Oil (MOC) began to develop in 2017.

@Hack-Hook ..just another example of how the new Iranian government is also trying to finish the unfinished projects from the previous Administration.

This hospital was stuck at 38% completion for 10 years..it is now restarted and to be completed in 4 years.(I hope I be around to report that..lol).
