Other than US and maybe Russia, no other country in this world solely has 100% internal defence. US leaving Iran alone, which they havent to be honest, had nothing to do with Iran having their defence production internally or externally. They still would have left Iran alone if it had a squadron of Su-27s or some S-400s. You keep talking about reverse engineering, yet without foreign investment or buying something foreign what are they going to reverse engineer? Toys and video games like DCS World and FSX? Lol grow up!

Nonesense! Either Iran was given blueprints of s-300/400 and/or had older systems it had procurred in the past and began reverse engineering them. Iran has built something better than an Su-27?! LMAO!!! Why are they not selling them then?! 🤤

as i said you can't understand what the discussion is about and bavar is better than s-400 electronically and no there was no blueprint at all as its completely different than russian design in every aspect

you knew what, your deny is coming from awe , you deny it because of its awesomeness , Iran did something that your country England didn't manage to do so , the best you managed is sky-Sabre and Rapier .

, you want reverse engineer , good go reverse engineer , those Bells , ch-47 , mil-mi17, AH-1 and.... why import new one when you actually don't need them urgently .
even better , why not go and reverse engineer the engine as we have already designed everything else

CH-47 is complicated design to reverse engineer. Though it’s a good one if modernized can be a great troop transport. Lacks safety counter measures tho.

AH-1 is not worth it when Iran already has so many cobra derivatives. They tried to build a super cobra and the prototype is still sitting on Google earth collecting dust.

Iran needs a heavy modern low rcs transport helicopter and a heavy low rcs attack helicopter.

US used its stealth transport chopper during the Bin Laden raid and on the Baghdadi raid. As Ukraine war showed us, large RCS helicopters are easy to detect and easier to shoot down when they lack proper counter measures.

Given Iran’s large helicopter fleet it can be patient to develop some next generation designs rather than copy a 40 year outdated helicopter it already has.

As for Russian helicopters, really the only one worth pursuing would be the Aligator. I’m more in favor of Iran buying large military transport planes and AWACS than any Russian helicopter outside of the gator right now.

ka-226 wont fill that definition
actually its easier to modify a bell helicopter for that role , the only sell point for ka-226 is its modularity

well those are certainly far more useful but to be honnest i'd like to knew about the stage simorgh is then made a comment on that . but all said i still think ch-47 can work in environments that transport airplanes can't work in

The front tube is definitely larger does that mean the Iranian version is bigger
