A former head of the World Bank (or it might have been the IMF) recently said that China and India would, before 2050, overtake the G7 in terms of GDP. And many can see that China and India will be the next world superpowers. We are developing and growing at a fantastic rate.

There are basic, fundamental differences between India and China, in terms of Government (Democracy vs. Socialist), Ideology, and Economy (China is gearing itself towards industry, whereas India is going more toward the service sector).

Both China and India are heavily armed, and updating their militaries. Both are nucleur armed nations. Both are increasing their spending on the armed forces. China has the largest military in the world, and India has the 4th largest.

These issues would cause another cold war, like what was experienced between the USA and the USSR. HOWEVER, unlike the US and USSR, there is no ocean seperating China and India. Instead we share a border! The USA and the USSR had different spheres of influence during the Cold War. The US had South America and Western Europe, and the USSR had Asia and Eastern Europe. They STILL came very, very close to war. India and China do NOT have seperate spheres of influence. We are right next to each other. We are competing for essentially the same markets. Furthermore, we have a hisory of conflict.

So what if a war between us starting tomorrow...

If India is the aggressor, then it will mean huge loses to Indian defense and will not survive for long as China with its military supremacy will easily withstand any Indian aggression

If china is the aggressor, though China will face huge casualty they will be able to capture a few stratigic points near eastern India and Kashmir. However, I doubt they will be able to root into deep India as their communication at those level will become to weak and irrational to advance. Therefore, in conclusion they will gain some land however this will only happen at a huge cost to them as India with tactical retreat will dig themselves at higher altitude.

If both play sorties and artillery with eachother, then both will probably lose equal ground and suffer similar casualty. However, if Missiles are used, because of superior missiles and tight air defense China may case lethal damage to India.

Therefore, at present if India and China gets into war without anyones intervention India may have to face serious losses.

I am just a rational Indian and not a Pakistani who hype their power when compared to us. India is a strong, secular and growing state and is for the future.

Now why should we think of a war....

India Pakistan and China should come together…Believe me this will be a nightmare for WEST…..they want us to be divided and keep fighting. But we Asians should understand each other and leave the differences behind.

For example see the co operation between Britain & US, they fight as a single force. Similar to this if China & India joins hand then in Asia also we can see Win Win situation. All the countries in South Asia will also benefited by this.

i would say that it has been almost 7 centuries, the westerners have dominated,TRUE and the time is coming for the asians to do the same.what worries me that they may spoil it all by building tensions between them. from the case of US and UK,it is clear that the westerners tend to join hands in difficult situations and according to situations while asians will harbour their internal conflict and take help from outside to beat each other, rather they should come closer and form such a economic zone that the world depends on them rather than vice versa. the ploy of westerners of “divide and rule” has worked effectively in ASIA as well.most of the nations in the west don’t like to see asians prospering. there have been numerous examples in the past.i think CHINA can really work as BIG BROTHER well enough to bring asia together. also INDIA should fuel this cause for the dream come true. but all this can only go beyond only when INDIA CHINA join hands
Good post, buddy, way better than playing our hurting game,

Not my intention to down play India's accomplishment.

Hope one day, the above dream may come true :china:

if india take a "free tibet" stand, china could take a " free every pradesh" stand, i always wonder if your media know how many separatists exist in india when they suggested the govt doing something stupid.till now china never cross that bottom-line ,but it dosen't we will be that clean in the future if someone keep pushing us

I would've advocated that long ago if it wasn't for the fact that PRC may hang on to Tibet even tighter and would be able to use it as a "god-send" rallying point if India raised the banner.

Truthfully, we know Tibetans definitely got a raw deal from PRC.

However, from a purely Chinese nationalistic point of view, letting DL get some "backings" is the fastest way to take the wind out of the sail of certain ships.

Over the long run, though, the above scenario has a real attractiveness. A "new" China along the lines of Military Districts may be in the cards - and not for the worse. And while this comes to reality, PRC will liberate the "prison" of nations cobbled together by the Brits ...

It's what I call win-win! :smitten:

no.Its not because we are not capable of.It is because we were gifted with everything unlike the Hans. It happened to be only during the late 1000AD when the invaders started while we stopped watching our backs.
i understand your self-respect psychology
but truth is truth.
the history of Indian is a history of conquer. Alexanda's army, afghan people, Mongols and English. Unification is not included in India's history before the British east India company.

and this tread well explained how aggressive and avaricious Indian are and and showed us how powerless at the same time.

We've covered this many times. To make a valid claim to the land you need:

(1) Ancestral >

(2) Historical >

(3) Cultural >

(4) Religious

But you also need to CONSENT and WILLINGNESS of the people to join you. Otherwise it will be a broken glass, fractured!

Furthermore, let's not forget it was the Hindus who expelled and persecuted the Buddhists.

Rice + Tea = China :)
Iktyar - Uddin - Muhammad - Bakhtiyar Khalji..

that's is the name....do you suffer from selective perception or really you have Amnesia to reckon with ?

You seem to love the word 'Idiot', but in all probability it can refer to any person including you.

Mods : Some Chinese members (Ostensive though) are using expletives a bit more freely than what is expected on of this forum. As a member who does not support incivily please take note of this aspect. Thank you.

Well, please remove your red glasses or wake-up.

Answer the following if you can:

a) What structure are you talking about? I guess the Angkor, right ?

So you think that this medeival colossal standing structure of Hindu architecture is akin to asking an Italian designer to design your home?

It was one of the most elaborate, beautiful carvings on stone ever built on earth. If Hinduism was born in India, I think there are hardly any structures which can match the beauty, grandeur of the Angkor. So it is much more than influence that you talk of.

Okay, if we proceed further, I think you are intelligent enough ( I am told Chinese have the highest IQs in the world), that Angkor is just a drop in the ocean. There are hundreds of Hindu architectural examples in Cambodia and its neighboring countries.

Am I to expect that you are gonna tell me, that it was the individual enterprise of certain rulers to get masons from India to build those structures? All hundreds of them ?

b) What about Yuddhoyono, Megawati Sukarnoputri? I am not sure whether they are Buddhists or Muslims. But what the fuss about the Hindu names? Do you want to suggest that the medeival culture of naming children akin to Hindus names a wishful, external and deliberate attempt? By how many people, all from Laos/Kampuchea?

What say? Google Indian/Hindu names in Indonesia, you shall see.

c) Why Islam has not been able to bring about a name change for the state carrier of Indonesia? I last heard it is called the Garuda.

And I do not need to tell you what Garuda is?

d) Go to Java and Bali and you know what the Chinese teach you.

See "revival of Hinduism" in Bali/Java

e) And you wanted the rulers name ? Jayavarman II.

So? What next.

I hope along with your Italian designed house, get Italian Cuisine, lifestyle and may be a girlfriend from Italy to complete the story.

Best

KSR, do not worry buddy, the Malaysian government is really concerned in terms of increasing influence of Hinduism in their land.

So you see among many other things, supression of the Tamil Minority in S'pore and Malaya.

It is time that popular Islam loses flavor in the South East. Wait and See.

name one country that has relations with china that has tibet as a country(since u say indias not alone if it makes his move) not to mention the dalai lama himself admits that tibet is a part of china.
basically, declare Tibet is a country, lose diplomatic ties with Beijing(in indias case one hell of a way to up the ante on the border issue, ie: at that point we will have a real possibility of border skirmish)
Well their is support for Tibetians allover Dalai Lama gets invitation for lectures in mostly Europeans and US.

India just needs to open Pandora box.

Dude, You are in urgent need of psychiatrist . Also waiting for law suit: 400million, yeah, that's a good target.

On the other side, congratulations to the 128 Chinese on their finally leaving the abusive, low-IQ, inferior grade, whimsical, mentally sick, star-charted foolish racist. With their skill set, they'll land a nicer job with higher salary, and lead a much happier life. Meanwhile, they may get a windfall from the litigation.

Your EQ must be pretty low as well!! Fire your employees when you are angry at forum debate.

I had Indian employee and i treat them with respects. In forum, i am pointing out my view and i will not be personal.

No one is questioning Indian civilization as one of the the oldest

He is best suited to the word of idiot. I hope it will not be applicable to you.

First of all, he mentioned many temples and structures with no specific name. If you are talking about Angkor or her ruler is Jayavarman II, i can check it out and do some verification. We need good information.

Have you seen that he mentioned that he will fire his employee with racial hatred in mind!

I am just specific towards him but not all Indian.

Indian had influence in SE Asia and i do not doubt about it. The another name for SE Asia is French Indo China.

sathruvinasakh what are you doing in a Pakistani forum, why don't you do all us a favour and get loss. What type a person fires his employees over a debate on the internet, you must a sad loser who needs to get a life. And i doubt you own a company because a sane minded person would never do what you asked for because he would be considered a retard, base on the fact that those 128 employees can file a law suit for discrimination.

Aww, how did I miss this? So promptly our Wiccan sister gave up on her "nationality" of Bharatavastra? - and of all places to "Germania"? And I think she posted the UN flag for a while, too!

I feel cheated - as publicly promised in the "Dam the Brahmaputra" thread, she was to give up her "nationality" only after "planes/missiles" cross the Himalayas! :frown:

Did those in Bharatavastra miss projectiles overhead?

Now Professor Wiccan is giving up on 128 "Chinese" workers making Quija boards and painting "Star charts" for her ...

Most importantly, however, I sincerely hope the Wiccan sister doesn't give up on this forum. Pls don't drive her away. I need the "specimen" the next time I feel the urge to :sniper: on "Brahminists".

Never mind others, Sath - I really do want to to build you up. :azn:
