Yes, one would hope for more from a respected figure, but perhaps he is waiting to see how things play out, later this year.

Should elections not happen by October, then the “government” could be said to no longer be democratically elected, even a caretaker one that is limited to 90 days per the constitution, and that could have global implications for its relations with the world. With PTI hiring lobbyists all around the world, and using the democracy vs. autocracy rhetoric coming out of Washington.

An election where IK is not allowed to run, when he is clearly the most popular candidate, will have its own consequences.

Only 280 days left till the end of October 2023.
