I forget, but you can google it I guess.

Jokowi also made very specific economic plan during election. He shows its economic plant on special TV program, there are charts and others, quite specificts. Put it on Youtube so people can see it, but more like showing his achievement in statistical data.

Jokowi plan is actually simple :

Masif infrastructure development
Prudent economic policy
Structural Reform ( Omnibus Law, Online Government/SOE procurement = limiting corruption potential/ Enhancing local product purchase )
Downstreaming raw material
Proactive Minister
Put best economists into Finance Ministry, put best people on SOE, more technocrate than politicians in Cabinet.
Huge support to agriculture ( His administration has completed building 35 dams until 2023 with target is to finish 60 dams until end of 2024)

But that is policy made under relatively healthy economic situation.
Would you say this was funded on the back of Indonesia natural resources, or primarily other means?

Our 2023 state budget is around 200 billion USD, that is about half of total Singapore GDP in 2023 (recent Sing gov projection). Most revenue taken from tax, about 10 % tax ratio

Mining and oil and gas industry contribute around 15 % of our GDP

Looks like your region has a well diversified economy. Tourism and agriculture seem like the largest sectors but not overwhelmingly so. A lot for Pakistan to study.

Pakistan is probably more similar to the Philippines, but 25-30 years ago.

That is populist agenda, the most important thing is what his plan to solve Pakistan financial and industry problem ?

Populist agenda can wait, now what his economic plan ?

I dont see Indonesian economist show populist agenda during our 1997- 1999 financial crisis, what I see they were making people swallow hard pill like increasing interest rate very hight and decreasing fuel subsidy, decreasing defense budget and decreasing budget deficit ( less spending )

I dont see tourism as representing Trade, Hotel, and Restaurants. More likely tourism only represent Hotel and maybe just 1/3 or even much lower of total figure. There are very few foreigners in Indonesia, even in Jakarta rarely you see tourist. Only in Bali you can see lot of foreigners.

Notice you will not find these resolution point on world news reporting I had to extract this info from his actual speech
As another has said, populist agenda and nothing more.

There's still a policy necessary for:

  • economics
    • land reform
    • identification of focus industries in 5/10 year proposals
    • fiscal deficits
    • identification of "future cities", these need to be existing locations that can be transformed into self-sustaining urban centers. LAH/ISB/PSH/KHI are no longer viable.
      • vertical cities with building codes (videos of damage from last week's earthquake is beyond condemnation)
  • destruction of establishment, (self explanatory)
  • reformation of bureaucracy/judiciary/military
    • clear cut removal of senior members
    • crackdown on corruption
    • removal of perks
    • 21th century military
      • bring out the drones
      • value of soldier's life, no more "i value death more than you value life" mottos. The purpose of a soldier is to kill his enemy and make him die for his cause.
    • accountability
      • no more post changes in x months
      • individuals develop their desired career development no more xx grade officer from fbr goes to police etc.
  • expansion of education
    • quality education
    • creation of technical schools
    • creation of night schools for laboring children
    • introduction of civics
  • reformation of NAB
  • reformation of healthcare
    • expansion of seats, with more scholarships
    • each student is committed to X years in public
    • top students are directed to research opportunities
  • governance
    • empowered local governments
    • expansion of public parks

Populist policies don't bring about development. Dedicated direction does.

EDIT: I forgot PTI's internal policies

  • No more electables
  • Development of organic internal leadership
  • Policy of no more than X members from a family in PTI politics (oldest living relatives down to youngest living members)
  • Heavily monitored internal corruption prevention by politicians
  • Accountability. Each Parliamentarian is responsible for their constituency's development. Low development = new parliamentarian on ticket.

The most important thing but left with no specifict .....more like he doesnt have any plan on economy with this kind of explanation.....
Except he does, because he already did it before, and exports were at a record high under his government.

You claim this is a populist agenda, but it is not. It is a common sense agenda.

Go back and look at his policy implementation during his government.

The only 2 issues he had were energy cost (which was slowly getting fixed and inflation.

I've said before I'm not an IK or PTI follower. But, he was the better choice and something different than what's been given to us last 40+ years. He had the fortitude from the onset to set up an economic council of the best Pakistani minds worldwide until the Mullas came with their Ahmadiyya nonsense and ruined it, yet he still managed.

He focuses on human health, which is excellent because he knows without a substantial and healthy population, how will you run a country? How can people be productive? The number one issue in Western people's mindset is health care, how to pay for it, and where to go, and he took a certain amount of headache away from people's minds. They could deploy some capital to spend with families, update their homes, or start a small-scale business.

As you said, he was on the cusp, sorting out our energy matters until you know the shit storm that hit.
