Except, one side has evidence of most of its claims and brought international reporters to the site of the bomb drops within 24 hours to independently investigate the site, and interview locals. We claim victory cause our initial target of sending terrorists to their maker was attained, I do agree though that our response to paf counter was sub optimal.
In any case paf claims 1 mig 21 and 1 su 30
IAF claims 1 f-16 and hundreds of terrorists dead.
Both sides are claiming victory with no clear winner imho and that won't change no matter how many arguments and counter arguments we throw at each other.
Meanwhile, the other side says it has evidence but refuses to show it. Initially even denied it lost any pilot until the said pilot was paraded on TV, and then had to force multiple news outlets to deny that they may have lost a second fighter, even though local eye witnesses from their side told reporters that they saw a fighter crash on their own side of the border, which is exactly what their enemy claims happened.
India got outplayed, simple as that. It is what it is, and there is no shame in admitting a loss.
And to think, a war almost broke out because 1 man was afraid to lose his re-election. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
