Yes.
We have had our share. Some years back 2 mushaqs collided mid air. We lost 4 pilots (one a very good friend of mine). Back in the 80s 2 mirages collided while peeling off in formation. 1 pilot died.
W/C (later on G/C) Tabriz survived.


So shit happens. Even if it was DACT there are strict rules on minimum altitude (the deck) and how close to each other you can get.

However if you are doing close formation flying with a much larger aircraft and you are in its jet wash or slip stream, that can cause sudden turbulence.

There are definitely more possibilities.
Especially IAF have a very notorious record of concealing truth in the past also from faking at least half a dozen surgical strikes on Pakistani soil to a real one in 2019 in which they missed the target but kept making fool out of their janta to hide shot down of SU30 Mki and minay others.

Below is a nice review. It seems the SU30 pilots ejected right after the MAC and were recovered within 2kms of the Mirage wreckage in MP. How ever the aircraft power glided for 106km (7mins) and went down in Rajistan.
So either the crew panicked and hastily ejected from an aircraft that maybe was not as badly damaged and could have potentially at nearby Gwalior AFS
or…. These are 2 separate incidents (Que conspiracy theorists 😁)
