Man, what a pathetic attempt at kissing Chinese feet...

Even the Chinese on here know what I'm talking about but here comes another servant...

First of all, how're those missiles going to track the USN ships?? I see no radar on the ships to guide them.

You think the USN is scared of a bunch of tin cans floating on the ocean surface??

If the Chinese Navy and it's militia navy are so strong, why haven't they made a move against Taiwan??

Like I said before, majority of the Chinese Navy is just scrap metal floating on the ocean surface. You can keep pulling random Youtube videos to push your point but it ain't gonna work.

Best for you to sit down and accept reality.
Who you calling servant you jap!!!
Japanese don't even have god damn military.
Who's kissing a$$ here?
It's not me.
Again I'm not here to argue.
You just here to post replies without reading media article or video content.
If you had watch the video source for your kind information all the PLA militia boats have GPS equipment given by the Chinese govt. And besides these same militia infiltrated all the way to South America last month.
Read & watch content, what source provided is sufficient for any credible evidence being mentioned, after that than answer my questions.

If the US really wanted to, it could bring many shipyards back. The senate is actually in the process to investigate what the Navy actually wants and to give it to them from the get go, so the US can meet whatever doctrinal needs it had to contain China.

Don’t underestimate US industry to milk the taxpayer for a large conventional buildup. We are head towards another Reagan style build up.

Almost all of these shipyards in China are state-owned enterprises.

Because of the Taiwan issue, we need to expand our navy to twice that of the United States Navy. I hope USA will follow suit and continue to expand your military spending.

1, China's shipbuilding capacity is 30 times that of the USA(per year 12 million tons:0.4 million tons)
2, The cost of shipbuilding in China is less than half that in the USA
055's cost is $0.9 billion.
Burke's cost $1.85 billion.
3, The USA lacks manufacturing, their government spending will cause prices to rise. But China will not, our production capacity is seriously surplus, and the government's spending on warships will only stimulate economic development.
4, Chinese warships are 100% domestic, from electromagnetic ejection devices to soldiers' underwear, all made in China. Chinese warships do not need to spend foreign exchange, and all the costs will enter our economic internal circulation. Or maybe we need to import some iron ore from Russia?
5, The most important difference is that China's social stability far exceeds that of the USA. Can American people tolerate a further three fold increase in military spending? Can the greedy Military industrial complex accept that the USA does not enter China's arms race trap?

The biggest problem in the United States is the lack of manufacturing and social instability.
The biggest problem in the USA is the lack of manufacturing and social instability. We will challenge in these two areas.
In Chinese, danger=危机. It has two words. 危 means danger and 机 means opportunity. The Chinese believe that danger and opportunity coexist.
So we think the Taiwan issue is not necessarily a danger for China, nor is it necessarily an opportunity for the United States.
In another 20 years, we will know the answer.

The USA can prepare for the arms race. We will compete who has better manufacturing and social stability.
Don't die in the same way as the former Soviet Union, because it would be a great irony.
I forgot that the USA can print money, or another 4 trillion? LOL

If I remember correctly, USA even awarded the contract for constellation frigates to Italy's fincantini company. American shipyards can't even win the Italians now.

US defense contractors are going for profits, if the government gives them more leeway; allowed to spend more but have to build in the US, they will jump at the opportunity to build more in the US. US think tanks want to go to an official $1 Trillion defense budget, especially to allow the rebuild the triad quicker, but it seems it won’t look good to the public.

In 2024, we will almost certainly have a republican president and a Republican controlled Congress, and you can be sure they will push through a huge boost to defense spending.

Its true US shipyards spend more building a similar ship, but the components are the best they could possibly be. Someone I know use to work at a defense plant in the LA area, testing some kind of circuit boards for F-15s. He told me they would reject components if they had even the slightest defect. The defense contractor was willing to scrap a 100 components to make sure they had one perfect component. That’s what he said. I know it’s wasteful, but once the US made platform is out there, you know it’s gonna work.

Again, the USN is about quality over quantity. The USN have enough missiles to turn tin cans into scrap metal, no matter the number. :D

The US isn't dumb. It'll match every Chinese ship with 10 missiles in its inventory. The USN isn't just ships and subs....the air wing of the US Navy is bigger than the US Air Force itself.

Ships in the sea can't hit air craft 1000 km away dropping AShM's on their heads. :D

China never seen itself in a shipbuilding race with USA. China modernization and technological developments was and is to improve itself and the lives of its people. To China, surpassing USA's shipbuilding capacity is merely a minor side metric of its determined development.

Although the capability of 055 is significantly ahead of Burke 3, China lacks qualified naval officers, and the speed of training officers can not meet the speed of building warships. So I never deny the combat effectiveness of the US Navy.

But now China and the United States are competing which country can build more warships to seize sea power, and which country can build qualified warships at a lower cost and faster speed. This is comparing manufacturing and social stability. Whether Democrats or Republicans, can they reduce the cost of building ships? Can they reduce the profits demanded by Military industrial complex?

I suggest that USA first find ways to reduce inflation and fill people's shelves. That's ugly, it's like the Soviet people lining up to buy bread in the 1980s.

Time to put things in perspective...

Majority of the Chinese Navy is made up of Auxiliary ships, over 200 of them. The main battle force is much smaller and also made up of many smaller ship classes.

Chinese Navy:

Aircraft Carriers: 2

Destroyers: 40

Frigates: 43

Missile boats: 107

Corvettes: 72

Landing Helicopter Dock: 1

Amphibious Transport Dock: 8

Ballistic Missile Subs: 6

Nuclear Attacks Subs: 9

Attack Subs (SSK): 57

US Navy:

Aircraft Carriers: 11

Cruiser: 22

Destroyer: 69

Littoral Combat Ship: 22

Dock Landing Ship: 11

Amphibious Transport Dock: 11

Amphibious Assault Ship: 9

Ballistic Missile Subs: 14

Cruise Missile Subs: 4

Attacks Subs (SSK): 50

You still don't understand. There will be no war between the Chinese fleet and the American fleet. The ship building competition between the two countries is to win the world's confidence in their force. Once USA loses its absolute sea power, it means the collapse of a series of American systems such as the dollar system.

USA has no right not to follow the bet. It must use warships to hedge against Chinese warships, not missiles.
China has a real manufacturing industry, while USA has only banks and law firms. Without confidence and military protection, USA will end badly, just like Zimbabwe.

Bread or Butter; social spending or more defense. If the economy grows, both can be increased, but inflation will also eat into both. We might be heading into social service decay similar to the Reagan era as the defense spending goes up. Perhaps both nations will come to some kind of arms limitation agreement once some kind of detente is achieved. Possibly under the Democrats but doubt it under the future Pompeo administration (He seems to be losing weight and will probably announce a run for the White House after the mid terms and he is definitely a Hawk when it comes to China)... I mean which ever Republican comes into office next.

People seem to talk about things that don't matter.

The only thing that matters is nuclear arsenal and nuclear arms race.

If there isn't a nuclear arms race, then every side is simply bluffing about challenging the other militarily.

And by nuclear arms race I mean a real one that seeks to regain/surpass MAD, not one that simply has enough nukes to make it politically unlikely for there to be a war between great powers.

There is also a dearth of engineers in US. Despite flooding herself with Indian engineers, US tech companies seems to be on a slow motion collapse.

Part of the problem is US "corporate comissar system". We know now that engineers in US has no chance of gaining leadership. All leaders go to MBA. These MBAs make all sorts of wrong decision harming US engineering capabilites.

And also, Indians are over-represented in these MBAs. These is disastrous.
