02:24 Why are you negative? Why security institutes are so nationalised? Democracy is subverted.
04:50 Public is afraid of Police and court. The reporter got place of arrest of terrorist wrong so he was slapped with many charges.
07:13 ISI started helping Kashmiris. Is security apparatus ready? Rajiv and Abdullah rigged election which paved the way.
09:20 The book bashes both BJP/Congress.1987 rigged election details. People were forced. A retired candidate won. The powder keg was lit by politicians. Pakistan obsession or revenge. Politicians had de-humanised Kashmiris by labelling them separatists.
13:45 Policy of striking fear in separatists and winning hearts of common Kashmiris. In 2010, 11, 12 Kashmir was pacified.
15:28 Security apparatus/establishment. It is taken by political class. Democracy or Republic. Civilian control over military was established since beginning. Non centralised but pan country network like police, Income Tax (Survey department), etc but not for big subverts. This establishment has reassurance that going extra judicial won't make them accountable. Hence, death in custody, ordering blatantly about cracking skulls open.
23:25 Wahid story who was multiple times apprehended. A cleric framed him bcz of enmity. In 2006, he was arrested for train bomb blast and acquitted in 2014. No official was accounted.
24:54 Rajbir Singh, the encounter officer for 50+ killings. Davinder Singh (Afzal Guru one) who was caught transferring terrorists, is set free. In NE India, there are many encounter officers.
28:38 Bureaucrats, Gujrat riots. Godhra carnage. Asthana is leading Dehli police who had investigated both cases. Modi creates nationalist police, civil servants and now doing the same to the army.
32:20 Joining dots about news flash arresting terrorists group. In every crisis, there is a life threat to Modi and Police successfully bust that and kill the 'terrorists'. Ishrat Jehan encounter. Vajpaye get de-popular and Modi became macho man. Now, behma koregaon case. It is to silence to dissent. India is diverging from democracy.
38:08 Journalists get threats by the security establishment
41:50 ill representation of Muslims in bureaucracy like in Police etc. In MJ Akbar used to say that despite the struggle in Kashmir, Indian Mulsims didn't join the, but situation is different now. To save face, police arrest their own informants and parade them for medal, etc.
46:50 Police forces arrestees to confess by torture like Afzal Guru.
49:20 Narco tests and forced confession.
53:55 Indian draconian law. 1.5% conviction rate TADA. Modi arrested Muslims (victims) due to suspicions under POTA in Gujrat but didn't Hindus
@Signalian @Foxtrot Alpha @jamahir @_NOBODY_
@vishwambhar tagged you for Kashmir thing.
A good watch. It also adds not only the IA but also IP kill innocents for politicians, for medals, money, etc. Also, how government saves these corrupt people who work on their behest. Indian "democracy" holds no accountability bcz of law, weak case, etc

@Goenitz, thanks for the nice vid. Will watch at least part of it in the night. And thanks for the timelining.

BTW you may have read of the Bollywood actor Sonu Sood having his house and other properties raided by the income tax department supposedly because he was doing some ghapla with the donations he had received from the common people for use in his COVID help campaign in India which started last year during the reverse migration of laborers from Bombay, Delhi and other places after the lockdown began. This IT department raid happened really for two reasons - Sonu stole the BJP central government's limelight through his team who worked constantly for the laborers and I think also their help to the COVID affected. Second reason is that Sonu recently met BJP's rival Aam Aadmi Party's Delhi CM Kejriwal who appointed Sonu as a brand ambassador of something from their party. This made the central government angry hence the IT raid.

There was another IT department raid conducted against the social activist Harsh Mander who has been critical of the Modi government. This raid-shaid is just unjust retribution. Please read this nice article about this.

These raids are like what you mentioned. Misuse of central agencies by the State against its opponents.

I watched programs on sonu sood, newslaundary and harsh. I think they are innocent but can be culprits (2% chance). However, when they will come clear in future, it will add their credibility more. Sonu Sood was very positive in NDTV interview
Wait what? When did that happen?
Bail at least, if not acquitted. But compare to Stan Swamy or Umar Khalid, who remained in custody while he is set free.

Man, he's charged under UAPA, maybe you should read the links you posted, he's gonna spend years in Jail without a trial, he got bail in one of the cases against him by state police on a technicality that the charge sheet wasn't filed in time and that amounts to nothing, the NIA case still stands and he will remain in custody, he's not out as claimed by you.

The civil military divide in India has never been more wider.

While Indian army insists on a clash of civilisation, Indian government is invested in the American dream on inclusivity.

something's gotta give

:undecided:
I think they are on the same page. Plus their armed forces are totally subservicing the Dehli. They do stunts (Galwan, 27 Feb, Sir ji kal) as Dehli says. Plus, see their retired army officers, showing which line to tow after the retirement to be relevant and rich.

Yes. General "Peepni" talked about clash of civilizations, while their FM refuted it.

It's not talk but Indian military is actively proactive in enabling what they consider clash of civilisation. The colonial nature of the Indian army makes it easy to utilize these theories to practicality.

Sadly no mechanism exists in India to filter out such extremist ideologies from her military ranks.

The strategic depth was coined by British, and Pak never believe that and that after when Afghanistan was hostile since 1947. However, India stamp Pak for that. IA army uses the same terms from british era papers/reports/plans.

Very valid point. They should take lessons from right next door and carry a coup already.

My point was there that they are not different but on the same page.

Why I called stunts, bcz the actions were totally childish/poitical. Moreover, the aftermath explanation was bogus and propaganda. Like saying we have informed Pakistan that we did surgical strike and we don't want to escalate more! Why? Then F-16 shot down and 350 deaths, and killing 40+ Chinese and no body is in our territory etc.

Lastly, we didn't have a coup technically as not a single bullet was fired and people celebrated the military govt. Yes, military overthrew the govt anyway.

Not just Pakistan, each of India's neighbour is subjected to the same doctrine.
