This is stupid Indian planning!! The Chinese PLA is becoming very happy that India itself is building a road network for them to enter Indian NE with tanks and others when the time comes. PLA will need a little less effort now.

As a general principle of war, border infrastructure, on either side, mostly, helps the dominating army.

I think that India is making these infrastructure, because they are quite certain that there is not going to be any major war between China and India, in foreseeable future. That is what I believe also.

Agree. But paajee as Russia's war has shown, with their initial 40 mile convoy thrust to Kiev, an open highway or road for transport of man and equipment is also a very juicy concentration of targets for a duck shoot. Ambush heaven.

Yes, but the dominant military doesn't allow for such duck shoot. Besides, I think that, that road can't be taken truly as border infrastructure. That is more like Lahore-Amritsar GT Road.

The infrastructure can still be useful for positioning artillery and support elements rapidly around the area - so unlike the recent Galwan crisis the Indian side isn’t stuck for time and expense needing airlift to get things done quickly. Think of it is cold start vs China.

I keep telling our Pakistani cheerleader friends. Something that China knows (of course we have not kept our intentions or general plan hidden, much the opposite). When war breaks out, Tibet will be on the table. The war will not be contained at any point of ingress.
