I think India is already planning to take on China, changing farm laws and privatization of different sectors. There would be a huge surplus labour from India's countryside moving into the cities. Economic battle would be so fierce that, soon military one will be forgotten. Military battle is not even possible beyond an extend, due to nuclear weapons.

I am pretty sure Indian ambition is not as petty as taking on china. We have far bigger ambition.

This stand off has already shown that military battle is not a possibility nor desirable. So in the end life will just go on and this will soon be forgotten.

PLA : IA
4:20
1:5

Means 1 PLA soldier is enough for 5 soldiers of Indian Army.

Almost same ratio as GDP per capita. 1 Chinese = 5-6 Indians. I also wouldn't call them an 'army'. Do armies typically murder unarmed negotiators? It's an armed mafia.

China now should work on integrating the defence industry and system with Pakistan so the two armies can be better coordinated in case of a future war.
I know retreating is frustrating and painful for all you dumb Chinese. But now you want Pak’s help

PLA clowns should have stuck to mindlessly threatening Taiwan:laughcry:

The best thing will be China strengthening Pakistan navy so that they are capable of securing oil lines into Gwadar from middle east region and heavy Chinese naval presence should be maintained in Arabian sea with normal maintenance using Gwadar port.

It is in the interests of China to have an eye in Arabian sea which is life line for Chinese exports and imports.

More or less same was true for India & Indians.

Except for China's obsession of being a "superpower" and inspite of China's blocking of Indian attempts to label certain well-known-terrorists as "global terrorists" in UN, Indians did not consider China as a fundamental enemy nation.

When Indian PM extended a hand of friendship to Chinese President, most Indians were more or less certain that there will be no major Indo-China issues going forward.

But China did not reciprocate.

It clearly showed how hell bent it was against India. As if stopping designation of global terrorists was not enough, it was doing everything possible against India.

Well well well, the otherwise peaceful average Indian, has now started thinking otherwise.

Personally, I feel that countries with old civilizations are mature & peaceful and I feel sad when they cross swords. But China has forgotten everything in its obsession for achieve too much too soon. Gone bonkers literally. Stooping as low as blocking designation of terrorists as terrorists in UN. Sad stateof affairs.

Hopefully, peace will prevail.

It is already trying its best and has been trying forever.
It successfully blocked India's attempts for "global terrorist" designation to certain terrorists too for many years before it failed the year before Chinese virus.

China's obsession of being a "superpower"? Or supa powa india?

Retreating fast is an Indian specialty, as shown in 1965 conflict.

Indian Army soldiers left their arms behind and retreated so fast, PLA couldn't keep up. :-)

This is well documented.

OK levity aside, important point needs to be made. I know Chinese firms are too interested in investing in India economy, hoping for a windfall. This is false hope to put it lightly.

Sanghis talk a good game, but as we all know in the subcontinent, they don't buy $hit except FMCG items in 5 Rupees packets, compared to what they claim. That is not a promising market with a bright future, and their economy is in far worse shape than fast-talking liar pajeets claim here.

Do some googling and research and you will see how much cheatery, fraud and lies there is in the reporting of Indian economic data. Indian govt. reported that they are expecting 11% GDP growth this year.

Instead of wasting Chinese investment dollars in India, Chinese firms should invest in Bangladesh and Pakistan, both of which are also excellent receptive markets for Chinese goods and services. Both already have some Chinese investments, but not yet sufficiently so.

These two countries should provide Indian alternatives of export volume to Western countries' protection regimes against China. Bring in Chinese raw materials and sub-assemblies, assemble/integrate in Pakistan or Bangladesh, and then export to the West as "origin" marked in these two countries. Export alternatives to Indian exports to US and EU will be provided as a bulwark against their economy and the folks in Bangladesh and Pakistan get well-paying jobs. Win-win!

Pharma. light engg. and shipbuilding are some very promising sectors in both countries.

I am frankly surprised that this is not yet part of an economic strategy yet in China. If it is - then I am unaware.

Bangladesh nominal GDP per Capita is already higher than that of India. Investing in Bangladesh and Pakistan by Chinese firms should provide economic-war advantages to the CCP by making these countries much stronger than India and provide an important hedge in the Chinese bet against India strategically. The sooner the CCP understands this and acts on it by providing formulated govt. policy , the better it is.
