troll mechanically scanned radar rotates in their radomes very rapidly to cover almost 360 of air space. early fixed ASEA/PESA has limited field of view because electronic steering of the radio waves is just 13 degrees on left to right/up and down can't cover the whole sector of airspace, but recently AESA put on swashplate antennae similar to mechanical rotating radar on older fighter jets so they can cover 360 degree, and how do you know that mechanical radars can't do that very well, do you have any logic behind that
Radars that engage multiple targets are all PESA or AESA. Think Patriot SAM, Aegis destroyer, MiG-31's PESA.

What radar did the F-14 Tomcat use?

A few jets won't save Greece.

Greece population is collapsing. some the articles below. better yet look at the peak population in 2011 and compare it to the current population.
Now, think of the double standard. "Greeks" flee Greece. In a sense they are the same as the migrants the "Greeks" violently try to keep out. Unlike those migrants the supposed Greeks are allowed to enter into the nations of others while the Africans and Syrians are blocked, left to drown or in refugee camps. Remember the REAL Greeks were warriors, brilliant inventors and builders....do these supposed Greeks resemble that? I think not.

Don't fart with Baseless you tube videos it proofs nothing, i will make a you tube video that said PESA/AESA can't do multiple target engagements, pulse Doppler radar are as good as AESA/PESA counterparts to track and engage multiple targets because decades of designing and development, AESA/PESA are come recently to the picture, but advantages of AESA/PESA over pulse doppler radars is that they are more resistance from jamming by the enemy and give the valid reason (technical) that Pulse Doppler radar not good as tracking and engaging multiple targets as compare to AESA/PESA

So really it is Egypt, Syria, France (warships sent), Italy (2019 sent warship) , USA (sanctions), Germany (Turkish ship searched), Saudi Arabia (jets sent), India (weapons), Canada (sanctions) (thus probably NATO) allied with Greece against Turkey.
Primary France and Israel , then Egypt , U Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia.
USA material support (until now).
Diplomatic support (until now) from India.
Also Kurds , Armenians and Syria in a case of an open conflict would obligate Turkey to maintain a large part of the army in the east (in contrast all the army of Greece is focused on Turkey)

Germany is neutral. (they just want to sell submarines and weapons to both sides)

Also Russia in contrast to other fields where they support Turkey, in this field will never support Turkey in a conflict with Greece.

Turkey has the support of Azerbaijan , Albania , Bosnia Herzegovina
and also Pakistan (which has not bad relations with Greece, just this government are friends with Turkey)

What a waste of money, which could have been spent better elsewhere.
This is true , 99,999% will never be used in war.
Just in dogfight games with Turkey.

after the Rafale ,
it follows a €3,5 billion deal for 4 brand new and high tech fregates Belh@rra (2 will be made in France and 2 in Greece) also they will update all the systems of 4 current fregates without more money.

Unfortunately (although it is also special friendly price) the cost of having/ensuring peace is expensive in this neighborhood.:(

Mechanical scanning. F-14 was not able to engage multiple targets simultaneous the way F-22 can which as AESA.
Okay. It was actually a question. I don't know much about radars. I don't know the difference between Mechanical/PESA/AESA. It is techie stuff to me. I just knew that the F-14 was older, used as a mini AWACS by the Iranians (in the Iran/Iraq war) and able to track several targets.

The only issue between Russia and Greece is Constantinople Patriarch destroying Russian Church by US order.

While Turkey is under US CAATSA sanction because Turkey refuses to give up S-400 which kills F-35 and TF-X for Turkey, now is best time for Greece to leap ahead Turkey in technology.
