I would take the Global FirePower rankings with a huge grain of salt. A few examples that stand out right away:
1. How is India ranked #4 ahead of Japan, France, Uk, ? All these countries have far more advanced weapons, and global firepower projection capabilities than India.
2. How is Brazil #9 ahead of Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Iran? There military is almost none existance and has almost 0 overseas training
3. How the hell is Israel ranked #20 with the likes of KSA and Spain ahead of it is just pure laughable. Any list that does not have Israel within top 12 minimum would not be credible. There air force of 300+ F-16Is, 50+ F-15I, and now 32 F-35 backed by powerful missiles and air defences like irondome can feasibly even face a military the size of Indias and come out on top.
1. US
2. China/Russia
3. Russia/China
4. Japan
5. UK
6. France
7. India
8. Korea
9. Pakistan
10. Israel
This is just conventional forces. Pakistan would be be ahead of of Korea/Japan as well as would other nuclear nations if nukes are to be included.
Furthermore I would not be surpised if within the next 10 years Pakistan rapidly excelerates to the 7-6th spot. Maybe I am being to optimistic but with the pace of development our military and with all the new weapons expected to come onboard compared to others on that list who are now facing huge budget cuts to the military including India.
Over the next 10 years I can make a reasonable estimate that the following nations will become more powerful and move up within the top 10... Japan and Pakistan.
Nations that I expect to rapidly fissile out in capabilities but still remain in the 10 top (potentially) include Russia, Uk, France who are all facing large budget cuts and weapon cuts.
Wildcards are India and Korea. India is facing catastrophic economic situation and political backlash with farmers protests. Things have been really bad the last few years and could rapidly decline much further for India leading to its decline in the top 10 but still remaining due to its size.
The 1 nation that a have a potential to enter the top 10 includes Turkey which has the potential to unseat Korea or Israel.
The list is quite off in my opinion as well but nonetheless I disagree with you on some selections such as Israel. I think the ranking 20 is actully generous. I would have put them at max top 25-30 despite having Nukes. It's due to the size, manpower and land mass that reduces Israel's threat.
1. China
2. USA
3. Russia
4.Turkey
5.India
6.Pakistan
7.Japan
8-Germany
9.France
10.Indonesia
Brazil doesn't belong to that list and I don't expect it to enter top 10 for atleast a decade. All the countries I have listed as top 10 have their own stealth technology production or hyper-sonic missiles, Space programs, Manpower, allies, Own missile productions.
I know alot people would think why is China number 1 but only a fool who doesn't understand anything about military matters would believe that US can beat China 1 vs 1 in this age and time? This is a forrgone conclusion that United States of America can't beat China in 1 vs 1 war not 2021 and what is beyond in the future. That window shut down for atleast 10 years ago by now.
There is parity between Pakistan and India but India has more manpower hence why they go higher on this list. Japan still belongs to the top 10 unlike South Korea whom I believe is very overrated for reasons I don't understand.
Turkey's defense industry is arguably the best in the world and ahead of China who I believe currently has the second best defense industry in the world. Many people would think how is Turkey's Defense Industry better then the Chinese but the truth Turkey has better Industry then China and produce high end quality tech weaponnry.
This is my unbias ranking and if you ever see again the US ranked above China know that is not true and far from the truth and if they were to go to war 1 vs 1. It won't be close believe me. The Panda will squash the Eagle and in truth they need multiple forces like 20-30 allies to take on the giant Panda
