Former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan has accused former army chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa of controlling the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), saying he blocked the conclusion of corruption cases against “thieves” during his government’s tenure.

“NAB would tell us that the cases were matured but they were not being allowed to conclude them,” the deposed premier said while addressing a lawyers’ convention via video link on Friday.

“General Bajwa was not allowing them [NAB}… he was sitting behind and would decide who should be released [from NAB custody] or suppressed,” he added.

Imran said the then opposition leader and incumbent prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif’s money laundering case was an “open and shut” one.

“His [PM Shehbaz] case was not listed for hearing… I was prime minister but I was completely helpless.”

The former PM said law of jungle was prevailing in the country “as all the thieves have gathered and now shutting down their corruption cases”.

Imran reiterated his allegations that his government was toppled by “buying conscience” of the lawmakers.

“All segments of the society are scared and the most concerning figure is that 750,000 people have left the country as they have become hopeless and lost confidence in the system after what happened in the last seven months,” he remarked.

Imran said only the rule of law can lift the country out of prevailing “quagmire” without which the country’s economy can never prosper “neither can we become an Asian tiger overnight”.

On the contract, General Bajwa SAVED his disqualification on foreign funding to give him a longer life. He has a habit of NOT doing ANYTHING. Crying, nappy wet, daddy change it, wet again, not growing up, not providing any results. AND cutting the hand of every daddy, Tareen, Aleem, Sir. Bajwa! Everyone who favored him he cut and abused. This isn't limited to these only, he upset royally the Chinese, Saudi's and Americans, wanted bribe on every project and they refused. So he stopped the work on so many projects.

Is that right? Well the MI / ISI had PROOFS of armed people in his jalsas. When these national institutes didn't want to do corruption and abuse of power, instead, decided to remain neutral in this political mess, he decided to insult and accuse the SAME institutions, specifically our ARMY. This type of a corrupt and abusive bloody rascal is not needed in Pakistani system. He damaged Pakistan's international relationships by upsetting the Saudis, Chinese, Europeans and Americans alike just because they refused to give him corruption. Glad our Army leadership decided to not support these political rascals who disrespect our Army and other institutions, the SAME institutions who bred and buttered him so he could do something for Pakistan. We need to re-elect IK and hope he has the balls to fire the currant COAS and put Bajwa on trial.
The wealth of Bajwa's family, that remains in Pakistan should be seized and family members of Bajwa who profited should pay the price.
We need to make an example of Bajwa to put faith back into the Army.

In Pakistan without revolution and rolling heads nothing will change as our own army have hijacked our country. In Iran how country fought back against their elite that's the only solution.
