Dr Indrawati has no political affiliations. She wasn't then and still isn't now.

Go check her bio on wiki > https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sri_Mulyani_Indrawati

Please, do not equalize us with Venezuela, our people are not in hunger and our exports are on the rise.. and at least our people are not desperate enough to go stealing fish in other's sea territory and get their boat blown up almost on weekly basis.

    Excuse me, what?

IKR.. They are busy pointing at others but never once look at themselves in the mirror. In one country you can't insult royal family, in another, you can't offend a ruling party. Each country has its own laws and rules in which its citizen must obey. Simple.

Jokowi and Ahok want Indonesia to be run professionally like those in developed countries. Jokowi, as an ex governor of Jakarta, want Jakarta to be transformed into a world class city. As he became president, Ahok is just continuing his policy.

The problem is... The real Indonesia economy is run by powerful people from corruption money and for poor people below, illegal business. Source of income is an sensitive issue as it hugely related with life and dream.

Indonesia is not yet ready for it, despite it's good, but doesn't connect with the current market below.

As there a saying with free market economy and less or no government interfering, the same case happened in Indonesia too. By pushing too hard, it will destroyed Indonesia economy, as we can see it now, as the economy is kinda hard from retail indicators.

Ahok mistake is pushing Jakarta too hard to transform the city into a world class city without thinking the economy aspect of poor people below as well as corrupt officials with their corrupt business partners.

In the long run, Jokowi and Ahok do is good. But in the short time, it's punishing the people.

But what is happening is already happening. As a people of Indonesia, we should adept, it's good for us in the long run.

    In the long run....

What happened with btp was partly his own failure. He failed to cope with how jakarta politic works and adapt without losing his sanity and integrity. Jokowi had shown us, that it could be done. So better we move on.

There is a bigger issue rather than just Ahok. It's actually targeting Jokowi.

Jokowi is owned by Megawati, which is his father being overthrown in the bad way by Soeharto or the new order. After the Reformation, Indonesia is still ruled by the men or descendent of the Soeharto's men. They fear if Megawati took revenge.

The biggest mistake is actually Jokowi, as he was trying to take justice over the how Soeharto overthrown the Megawati father. If the trial is continued, a lot of Soeharto's men will get arrested or losing the heroic status to war criminals or traitors.

Ahok is just an excuse, or entry point, because his behaviour can be took advantage to create unrest that will be directed to overthrown the president.

No one is perfect, even Anies and Sandiaga are also have a lot of mistake that can be exploited to create unrest if someone want to. How he rule Jakarta now is quite a mess, using this someone can organize an unrest and riot.

But luckily Jokowi is not fallen, as he quickly stop and reverse the policy over Megawati father, after seeing Ahok is being held. I don't know inside the meeting between Jokowi with TNI and Soeharto's men, but the problem is solved.

But Ahok must go to the jail to satisfy the public, and funnily, under different reason with only two years punishment. It's even not in real prison. It's like drama.

Jokowi isn't a fool. Fast learner, he has strong grip over his political power and plays his cards very well, he is a shrewd politician. Ahok in politics, well... he is just a clueless bull.

Agree if Ahok ia clueless bull.

I rather prefer if Ahok is like Sri Mulyani. No political affiliations, but be used for his skills.

the figure only lists ENV but not PV, the second largest power producer. PV installed capacity is 4,208 MW now and 10,000 MW under construction.

besides, do you have any figure for 2017?

Still fallshort compared to us, only 10 GW under construction? For how long? 2019?

The last 2017 alone, Indonesia government made tender for 12 GW additional generation capacity

    https://www.platts.com/latest-news/coal/bali/coaltrans-indonesia-tenders-to-build-remaining-27830343

Its very naive to compared us against Venezuelan as Indonesia is a manufacturing powerhouse as biggest economic growth contributor
    http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/...ector-remains-biggest-growth-contributor.html

Have large agriculture industry and associate support, like the largest palmoil producent, third largest rice producent, cocoa, coffee, tea, and other. Meanwhile Venezuelan only depending on their oil revenue

5% GDP growth rate is ok for a country with a GDP capita at PPP of around 11,000 US dollars but it needs to be in the 7-8% range at this level of Indonesia's development. With a population growth rate this is 4% a year per capita growth which frankly is not that impressive when developed countries are growing their per capita by 1-2% a year.

Indonesia needs to be hitting at least 7% a year GDP growth before it can say that it is doing well.

Aside from the global economic slowdown, current infrastructure condition limits Indonesia competitiveness in global market, thus limiting Indonesia's potential to grow faster and higher. But current administration has embarked on ambitious infrastructure drive to increase our competitiveness by increasing connectivity, lowering logistic cost, and cultivating new centers of economic growth across Indonesia archipelago.

I get ever more pessimistic about Indonesia after seeing PDF Indon pro blasphemy and blame victim.

Now at 21th century, high IQ PDF Indon are no more progressive than Chinese 2000 years ago, when Chinese started criticizing Confucius and deities.

I suspect PDF Indon will blame rape victims for dressing indecently as what clerics in your neighborhood are doing.

Reasons why Chinese are winners when others are working very hard scrutinizing everyone to see if Allah is being bullied.

I wonder, what is your opinion on ahok?

Does he a good or bad Governor? And why?

Do you Jakarta under ahok bad or good? Can you feel the different? What is it?

What is your vision of Jakarta? And what is your opinion about world class city around the world like New York, Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapore, Melbourne, etc? Have you been on one of these cities?

What is your opinion on Anies? And his recent displacement policy similar to ahok to normalizing the river?
