If China wants to divert the water flow, then we've many other options like the 2,585 MW project on River Sankosh. The project received grant money from a partnership between Bhutan and India in 2017 and will be one of the largest hydropower project in the region. The project cost is $1.65 billion which is an ambitious and expensive project for a small country with a GDP of $2.7 billion.
