Who issued it?

Obviously it is government of Pakistan, but that blue passport is for diplomats, in service government employees, members etc of NA wagaira.

Nawaz Shareef for the time being is not holding any of the above positions so can he be issued a diplomatic passport?

As far as I know, there is nothing in the existing rules about that, but it did not stop IK's government for denying NS a diplomatic passport during IK's premiership in violation of Para 45, so some might claim a precedent. That notion still needs a test in court at some point.

The best part is that one does not go to get a diplomatic passport, but it comes to you. For free. As per the rules. :D

(Oh, and by the rules, both IK and NS are equally eligible for it.)

This list needs to be changed.
Only people proceeding to govt postings abroad should get it.

Everyone else, ordinary green passport. Let them all join the regular queue and maybe they will strive to make it better.

All these burdens on taxpayers should be allowed diplomatic passports and then their entire tabbars too…..wtf

And ofcourse why the **** these people need to travel abroad, for what anyway? To beg ?? Do that over the phone or video call. No need to fly fir that

Does IK have one too? What happens to it, if has one, now that he has been disqualified from holding a political office by the Election Commission?
