Pak High Commission Dhaka burgled

The Foreign Office (FO) on Tuesday lodged a "strong protest" with Bangladesh authorities following a burglary in the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka.

A few days ago, unidentified burglars broke into the consular section of the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka and had stolen some computers.

The FO, in a statement released by its spokesperson today, expressed "grave concern" over the incident, as the high commission building is located in a "highly secure diplomatic area" that is not easy to penetrate.

The matter was reported to the authorities and a first information report was registered with police, the statement said, adding that the high commission had also requested the Bangladesh Foreign Office to heighten security around its building.

"It has been underscored that as a host, it is the responsibility of the Bangladesh government to provide full security to the Pakistan High Commission premises," the statement read.

The FO urged Dhaka to hold a "thorough investigation, share a detailed report with us and bring the culprits to justice".

No use of wasting time with Bangladeshi authorities. Computers of Indian cultural workers in Afghanistan should be snatched as tit-for-tat.

Let's hope nothing sensitive was on the computers. Otherwise we know for a fact our people wouldn't have taken any basic security measures. I bet even the passwords are 123456

First we did'nt have ambassador there now we don't have equipment also.

Another pathetic failure of Imran Khan govt. and his limited joker Shah Mahmood Qureshi who can't even acknowledge or resolve the bangladesh issue. Why not just reduce the embassy there into a commercial office and withdraw staff from there?
India is scared and is pressing its poodle that there is no sort of contact between Rohingya and militant groups
Sh. Hasina looks at imran as a coward who can't take decisions. Pakistan behaving shamelessly with regard to Bangladesh. Ashamed of this Foreign Minister and Foreign Office, bunch of cowards. Another gift for Kartarpur opening. Beghairat Niazi

Providing security to foreign Diplomats is the duty of host nation, hence Bangladeshi authorities have failed miserably in their responsibilities.
I highly doubt that any sensitive material would be left unattended in a country like Bangladesh which is currently just an extended state of India.

Rofl to phir credit bajwa ko deday kissne bola hai inauguration karne ko, is'nt this beghairti to take such initiatives, when Pakistanis are dying. Its not just bend over backwards India policy its everywhere even Bangladesh like country mistreating Pakistani envoys. Beghairti is not a great option. And its not being opened to be closed.

This incident and the hacking into the top 22 Pakistani banks from earlier this month should have the government audit Cyber/Information Security. We need to know where we stand and where we need to be to prevent loss of sensitive information.
