i dont think you can make such a comparison among countries that have nukes..
Also India has a much bigger and imminent border dispute with Pakistan than China..
the only threat from China for India is economical and ideological (red corridor of india)
No...I do not agree with your assumption...I am very much sure, with economic prosperity as the primary driver, India and Pakistan may try to fool their people in creating an atmosphere of war, but in reality, no country every venture out to change physical boundary that exists today. The classic example was last year when so many incident has happened that could have triggered an all-out war between both of us...But it eventually did not happen...Even if any war would happen, India at this point of time, is not much worried about it as there are multiple factor that will influence India and Pakistan to maintain the status quo...But for China, it is a separate case altogether...China is a global power that can not be influenced by anyone as India/Pakistan which will be influenced by Arabs/West and China to avoid any kind of war in the future...

And that happened because of nukes otherwise we had 3 wars in past, I dont consider kargil as a war as it didnt happen on an international border.
Circumstances dictate.Pakistan of 2018-2019 was an economically weak Pakistan therefore India tried to make inroads. always consider the input of a conflict when you yield derivatives.an economically stable Pakistan poses much bigger threat to India, therefore India will keep trying its level best to black ilst Pakistan while continue increasing trade with China.

The biggest flaw in your argument is the posture of your military. The cream assets of the Indian Armed Forces are deployed against Pakistan, and not China. I don't doubt as to what your intentions are, but the deployments of your fighting arms say otherwise as to what you're stating and i will always place more emphasis on your deployments rather then your intentions. Its not what the enemy will do, but what the enemy can do.

But I do agree with your argument that from a strategic perspective, India naturally rivals with China due to the size of both the countries and economy. But due to the threat posed by Pakistan's military, India is forced to treat Pakistan as a bigger threat. While China is gearing up to rival the US, the biggest military behemoth the world has ever seen. This is why its far cheaper for China to prop up Pakistan to keep the Indian military occupied, rather then peeling away its fighting divisions and placing them on the Indian border.

India is not interested in conflict with China. Too much risk of defeat. It is easier to pick a fight with some one weaker then you, hence why it prefers conflict with Pakistan. Plus there is the psychological baggage of partition.
Even China doesn't want to pick a fight with India despite the odds. I don't know any country that goes looking for a fight these days. India never looked for a conflict with Pakistan, as someone said, India is fine with the status quo we prefer a situation as we have with China.

This is where our relationship with China is very mutually beneficial when it comes to defence

China understands that any help to Pakistan allows Pakistan to increase the offensive threat towards India thus forcing India to focus it's military towards Pakistan

Helping Pakistan is a easy option for China to keep India tied up

pulwama and February 2019 was a prime example of this
40 Indian soldiers killed
India loses multiple assets
Bungles a cross border strike
Only for Pakistan to hit multiple Indian military sites and shoot down a Indian jet
Whilst Indians shoot down their own helicopter

All whilst China sits on the sidelines

For Pakistan, China is a great asset because with or without China we would be in a state of conflict with India

India prefers to status quo with Pakistan..Indian aggression for Pakistan to ensure Pakistan do not try to cross the border and plan to occupy any part of India...But i am not sure Indian public has any apetite to add any land from Pakistan to India...So in this scenario, Indo Pak conflict with not happen if any one try to breach the thresh hold of international boundary...

China is too powerful than us...No way, India can match up to China...So China is treated as threat where as Pakistan is a rival..
What you're saying is against the very basic laws of Geo-Politics. India is a growing power, like any other power it does or it will desire regional hegemony, so a status quo with Pakistan doesn't serve Indian purpose. In fact, this is what the Chinese would prefer & would try to balance India by propping up Pakistan.

And the Indian public will be over the moon if you wrestle AJK from us.

But it is not always about adding land, it is about increasing one's share in global power at the expense of another state. You will never become a regional hegemon as long as Pakistan in its current form & strength is still standing. For example, you can't spread your influence westwards as long as Pak is there. e.g 20 years, billions of dollars later you have achieved absolutely nothing in Afg.

So as your economic & military strength, vis a vis Pakistan, grows, you will start thinking about changing the status quo. I believe the Indian state has already started thinking on those lines in the past few years. But the same realism dictates that Chinese would be thinking on the same lines towards you.

Pakistan is not seen as someone who can outgun India militarily. Pakistan is a threat, sure but our threat perception of China is far-reaching and is real, most of our procurement, infra building in sea, land, and air is keeping in mind the major threat and that's not Pakistan.
No.I you watch The Force Magazine channel on YouTube by a very smart Indian analyst then you would see that.. despite all the hoopla about China the Indian forces are predominantly positioned against Pakistan!!

This is your assessment...There is absolutely nothing to gain by taking over Ur part of Kashmir...In last 70 year, we can barely win the trust of the people of Kashmir valley...It is already in mess...Why do you think India prefer to add another completely Muslim dominated area into account hold that will be even harder to maintain in long run...

All these political posturing is all about maintaining status quo and coverting LOc into IB in Kashmir...when Indo Pak relation will improve, both gov will make the kashmir border as soft border..
