China’s military rise matter of concern: Naval commanders

Top naval commanders from leading countries with interests in the Indo-Pacific region today expressed concern over the military rise of China and the need to respect international law by keeping the sea trade routes open. Strategic circles describe Indo-Pacific from the east coast of Africa to the west coast of the US.

The naval commanders of India, Australia, Japan, France and the UK were present at ‘Raisina Dialogue 2020’, discussing “Navigating tides of revision in the Indo-Pacific”.

‘We are watching’

They (China) have 7-8 warships in the Indian Ocean at any given time.... We are watching. If anything impinges on us, we will act

Admiral Karambir Singh, Navy Chief

Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh said China’s navy had grown at a rapid pace.

Chinese ships had entered India’s exclusive economic zone. The Navy acted, and they moved out, he said. “The construct of the Indo-Pacific is not against anyone,” he said. In reply to a question on the UK and France joining the quad, he said: “We anyways operate together.”

Asked if Japan was worried about a war with China, General Koji Yamazaki, Chief of Staff, Joint Staff of the Japan Self-Defence Forces, said: “We are closely watching the situation.”

General Luc de Rancourt, Deputy Director General for International Relations and Strategy, Ministry of Armed Forces, France, clarified his nation’s Indo-Pacific strategy had not been designed against China. “We see China rising. We are seeing what it can do in South China Sea,” he added.

Admiral Tony Radakin, Chief of UK’s Royal Navy, said: “We intend to play a greater role in Asia-Pacific.” The UK could start by using more of the Deigo Garcia in the southern Indian Ocean, he said.

China, Pakistan, Turkey and Malaysia are enough to confront this rowdy gang.
Some people here have some delusional geopolitical outlooks, LMAO why the hell would Turkey get involved in helping china gain a greater foothold and control over the Indian Ocean, the only interest for Turkey is freedom of navigation for goods it sells and the trade along those frontiers. If anything, there are benifits to China not being allowed control over the Indian ocean, at it makes it more reliant on land routes for trade through Turkey. As for Malaysia, I imagine their interests are very similar to that of Indonesia on the matter and they would be wary of any party trying to upset the balance of power in SEA and gain greater hold that might threaten the interests of ASEAN countries, I understand the Pakistanis would probably welcome a Chinese presence as it would counter Indian attempts at hegemony over the Indian ocean, but expecting Turkey and Malaysia to get involved to the benefit of China on this, ignores geopolitical realities. Just b/c its in Pakistan's interests to prop up China, doesn't mean everyone else is rushing to become a client state of china. Malaysia with Mahathir has been wary of too much Chinese dominance and influence over its own economy, and has had problems with the Chinese over the Uygur issue, even refusing to extradite Uygur asyum seekers back to China, and Turkey's objections the treatment of East Turkestan by China are well known, Its very doubtful either step into this matter, let alone in favor of the Chinese.

After we've seen how US has pounded pak over the war on terror and left it in cold dust, I think we're well aware and cautious of our alliances, strategies and actions

turkey is barely even present in the Indo-Pacific
Turkey will tie US, UK & France down in the Mediterranean, North Africa and Middle East.

Pakistan will take care of India.

Malaysia will take care of Indonesia, Vietnam & Philippines.

China will take care of Japan, Australia and any residual US forces.

Don't post nonsense and edit title to spread your agenda here. PLAN is considered sending warship to Mediterranean to back Egypt , UAE, Russia and Libya allies. Turkey is alone.

US, UK, France, Japan, India, Australia. This will be the coalition that will counter Communist China’s aggression. Watch how this coalition coordinates efforts in the next few years as their bond grows stronger with China’s rise.

Communist China’s belligerence is a threat to the free world and must be checked or we will all be living in concentration camps like the Tibetans and Uyghurs.

But then you also say that Pakistan double crossed USA on war on terror and made its trillion dollar campaign fail in Afghanistan

So it goes both ways while you are forced for fake surgical strikes to keep your ego inflated
