if the price is the same and the quality, relability is "unknown", and the after sales/support network does not exist - then you would have to be crazy to buy into it ...
It'll be mainly for the Chinese market for at least a decade, China spends trillions in buying foreign jetliners, China hopes this plane can change the situation for China.

Their local demand is large enough. Domestic civil aviation sector in China is huge. They don't have to market it outside China even.
The problem is, if they are just 6 million off of a Boeing, why domestic airline doesn't buy Boeing instead.

You are talking about jumping into an unknown airframe which you need retraining to maintain it from ground up with little to no financial incentive. Not many company, including the Chinese, would have done it.

Unless Chinese Government force these company to buy a certain amount, that would be another story.

No one lists India as "seriously" starving. The Global Hunger Report which all semi-literate Chinese along with their slaves quote, on the contrary has nothing to do with hunger but nutrition.
Anyone who knows how to read the report and is not suffering from long term effects of prolonged consumption of sewer oil can understand.
don't confuse India with China.
Look at our annual consumption, look at our stock of food grains. We are an open book, unlike a shithole called China that will let it's citizens die of starvation on the countryside while exporting the grains to other countries

Poor low quality 150cm Indians believe they are as tall as Yao Ming. But in the real world. Indian...

The literacy rate of low-quality 150cm Indians is only 70%. (Less than most countries).

The urbanization rate of low-quality 150cm Indians is only 34% (lower than Bangladesh)

Low quality 150cm India's per capita GDP is 2500 US dollars. Lower than many African countries.

poor 150cm India has just 22 cars / 1000 citizens
................
India has only one world record. Leading the world. Rape and eat lizards. Rape sheep, rape dogs, eat shit, drink urine, eat corpses...

India is a super garbage country with 300 million people and 1 billion Dalits.

I don't understand why it is on the network. 150cm Indians show themselves as tall as Yao Ming.

Almost all Chinese airlines are state owned, true, the govenment can order airlines to buy certain carriers, but there is a precondition, the carriers must be very safe, China cares very much of its airlines' safety record.

Chinese airframe quality, aerodynamic design and engine integration are no worse than say, Russian recent projects (SSJ-100, MS-21) and are just as safe as Western aircraft because they were designed using the same processes, tools and equipment. Safety in aviation is a four letter word nowadays. The debacle of the 737 MAX is evidence enough.

All the Chinese airliner projects use Russian basic research and science collaboration as well (Tsaagi Institute from Moscow in particular).

Bangladesh is 3rd world country - no shame in admitting it. It is what it is.

But what gets me is that Indians do not realize they are worse than in Bangladesh (India is mostly a fourth world country).

Some of them live in a few better cities and they think all of India looks like New Delhi or Mumbai.

I have posted tons of Indian pictures before - but I won't torture folks from other countries with that garbage. Too tired of $hit-kicking.

Again, the question is, would you buy that with little to no financial incentive.

The different between Boeing 737 MAX and C919 is. Boeing have 60 years of experience of making aircraft, they can bounce back on the 737 MAX debacle. C919 is a brand-new plane, again, you are literally paying for the same amount (6 million list price different per airframe) Does that warrant that gamble just to save 6 million per airframe?

They are not going to market it outside of China for now. FAA airworthiness certification will be blocked for sure but internal Chinese certification will go ahead.

Internal use for now I believe.

That's why I said if the government force the airline to buy a certain amount, that would be a different story.

Thing is, it's not just how safe is the aircraft, but how safely airline use them, that count as well.

I am talking about Chinese company. They can't use it internationally without FAA and EASA certification anyway. (Which also eat into Chinese Airline flying EU and US route)

If you are, say China Southern CEO, would you buy this aircraft, knowing this has different maintenance standard than you other Boeing and Airbus and don't know how well this aircraft will perform both performance wise and safety wise, for a discount of 6 million dollars per??

This is where China's strength lies and the reason why China can catch up in almost all sectors incredibly fast, strong backing of the government.

India is still just India. No change... 300 million people and 1 billion untouchables.

Only 8% Indian families own cars, NFHS finds. Over 50% still use bicycles, bikes & scooters

India has 22 cars per 1,000 individuals: Amitabh Kant

So poor. So backward. But the low quality 150cm Indians still bring Indian jokes to the world.

Your question is meaningless in China, I already told you the reality here in China.
Well, that's not answering my question either, you are just denying my question outright........

But then whatever......I probably is half expecting this anyway...
