Which is why i am saying. The awami leagues days are numbered. They have an enemy in BJP and they are do not enjoy support at home. As they are seen as Indian poodle.
Point is BAL is in Deep trouble. Balancing act will Only get then so far.

If BD is to maintain balance inher relationship. BAL is to be ejected from Dhaka.
Right now as we Speak BD is not in balancing act they are pro-China-Pakistan because their policies align with them. Awami League has good relations with India but that was also inherited relations from previous civil gov'ts of India not an extremist RSS terrorist run government. Even Awami leagues doesn't have good relations with them just a frosty relations due to trade.

Bangladesh's ruling Awami League (BAL) Could be ejected from Dahak if they lose the election and new admin comes to town

The only reason BAL tolerates them is because, BAL cannot survive without indian backing. BAL enjoys no support at home.

BAL is trying to be friends with pakistan. But BAL Political DNA is anti pakistan. You cannot just change charecter with a snap after spewing venom against a country for almost 50 years.

There is already pro pakistan faction in BD. That has maintained close ties with pak since 1971. PAk would rather deal with them then BAL. They have been loyal to PAK for 50 years, compared to BAL.. BAL' s master seems to be fully intent to sacrifice BAL as a goat to further their imperialistic dreams

The only reason BAL survives is because they have their people in every top position and they can rig every single elections but nobody from the outside can safe them or undo them if they are politically defeated at home or win at home. They will be replaced when their time comes. outside backing has no fruits here. It is similar to these people saying Nawaz was being backed by India. To many conspiracy theories everywhere. The only thing India can do for Nawaz is finance his campaign and the same for BAL but I don't think they are in need of money these folks in the first place as they have people in higher positions in the country so they have access to endless campaign money..

But BAL will not be able to remain in power without indian support.
It's popular belief in Bangladesh. Just wait and see the problematic relationship between BAL and India in future.

But since I can't provide evidence, so it's safe to say let's just wait and see.

I think there will be a consensus govt (জাতীয় ঐক্যমতের সরকার) where Hasina will be chief, but there will be representatives from all parties.

And one more thing , India may have influence in Bangladeshi politics , but it doesn't control the political fate of Bangladesh.

Even if BAL tries to men relationship with pakistan, how far will they go?
Now what if BAL want to be friendly with Pakistan? Who will declare them kafir again? Who will say that ,in Masjid we will hear uluu dhoni if BAL in power? No one.

So what's the point of, "If BAL don't come , country will be Pakistan again " type rhetoric? No reason.

So just wait and watch the game. Bhaire , khali choke zeita dekhen seita beshir vag time bhul hoy. That's why, sun t zu said, "Keep your friends close and enemies closer" .

Look at my signature ( English part)

In future BAL and Pakistan is going to be friend. Actually it was destinied long ago . Just after death of Mujib it became harder.

Remember in 1974 Bhutto Mujib relationship was improved dramatically?

Just after it Mujib was murdered. দুইয়ে দুইয়ে চার যদি পারেন মিলিয়ে নেন। :)
Why would anyone fear India or in the matter anyone? this is laughable.. I completely reject this and doesn't represent reality and far from it..
Actually India is nothing but unfortunately some of our compatriots fear India too much, and Exactly it's the tool of India. As much as you can fear , you will be oppressed.

India have huge influence on Bangladesh , but all through media.

Media is under control of govt now. Slowy govt is taking everything under control.

India Ghost will be eliminated from Bangladesh once and for all , but it will take few more years.

It's not possible overnight, as Rome wasn't build in a day.

@Jobless Jack bhai , with my previous reply , equate this one please.

Don't fear India, just be prepared to counter it.

The process has been started already. Forget the bengali proverb? "তোমারে বধিবে যেই, গোকুলে বাড়িছে সেই"?
Please be patient ,wait and observe.

See always wondered the fishy circumstances under which Mujib was murdered. You see to have proved my guess correct.

Either way . Even if I take your word for it. That Awami league will pivot from India. This means there has to be significant reform with in the Awami league. Sheikh Hasina will have to remove a significant number of people from her own party, the civil service etc.

Can she do it ? or will she end up like her father for attempting the same thing ?

Not as easy as you say. Plenty of Mushtaq's and Zia's in her own party and military. Especially due to the last 13 years . There are people in her own party who are just waiting to betray .

Hopefully , She mends relationship with Pakistan. That will seriously unite the 2 Muslim wings of south Asia.

Nightmare for BJP...

Putting the two names together will not cause people to believe that these two played the same/similar roles in politics. One was a BAL minister who usurped the Presidency of the Republic and the other was a victim of a conspiracy hatched by India and implemented by Ershad.

These two are not the same.

Mujib died because that time armed forces was weak. But this time armed forces is strong.

What is Bangladesh is controlled by military deep state and BAL is just their front guard?

These are sensitive points, you can't prove anything, but you have to do analysis.

You can't stant tall with pure form of democracy where your country is full of illiterate or pseudo educated folks.

Whatever maybe the case, Bangladesh is doing much better under this establishment ( apart from some wrong decision during covid 19) , and you see under the establishment relationship is becoming worse with Indian hegemony on our politics.

It's a big sign.BAL is considered pro India party ,and believe it or not , it's still acting as their safe guard.

Will BNP protest the decision of BAL when India won't be beneficial? No way right?

Imagine what BAL would do if BNP was in power and sealed border?

BAL etai bolto ze bondhu varot ke razakar bandhob BNP sorkar konthasa rakhtese.

Ekhon ke ei kotha bolbe? BNP? Eta bolle oder politics are thakbe? Oder politics ta kintu anti India based.

Pure form of democracy and uncontrolled freedom of speech always back fired in Bangladesh.

Eta ke bole kata diye Kata tola/fight fire with fire.

It's very easy to break through international border and super powers will not move a muscle if you don't have power or strong allies.

Look at Ukraine, what the other super /big powers did against neuclear power Russia other than criticism ( তীব্র নিন্দা?) ? Nothing.
So, instead of making a parallel with the events of Ukraine, please tell us in more detail how the IA troops will occupy Bangladesh, the scenario.

Will not occupy Bangladesh. But will push it's troops though northern side.

China will not wring the chicken neck unless it's all out war.

In an all out war India won't be fighting alone .

Same case for China. I already said about the importance of the bay of Bengal.

If IA troops move through the BD north as you have assumed how then the BoB naval buildup by BD can help it? Do not please assume that PLAN is there to help our navy in the BoB when the fighting itself is in the north. BoB has no direct relevance to the north and the Chinese army does not interfere in other countries' wars.

Moreover, unless BD govt surrenders, the confrontation between BA and IA troops will continue for a long time on all other fronts. In order to access through Rangpur and Sylhet IA must also annihilate BA troops in other places as well because they will certainly move to the north to challenge IA troop movements.

I could not solve your puzzle.

( Let's assume that I am talking about third world war where no one will be fool enough to use NUKE)

If Iraq, Syrian, Libyan or Ukrainian wars did not lead to WWlll, there is no way a limited India-China war will become that. I was asking why do you think that IA troops will just push through the BD north to join with its NE. There is no question that there will be no nuclear war.

It will be another regional war. And India cannot cross through BD north without continuous BD resistance. Consider also that India's western front will be at war as well when IA troops try to push through BD north.

This may be the reason why India wants BD to be allied with QUAD and China wants it to be neutral.

A war between Chinese alliance and western alliance where India is included.

In order to separate NE from India , only wringing the chicken neck isn't enough.

Besides if Bangladesh remain neutral , India and it's ally will request Bangladesh to use their land to save their people, so for the sake of humanity Bangladesh have to let Indian logistics pass. Also from sea western allies of India will ask for the same.

A neutral country can't actively support any separating process of another country, so China can't separate NE by wringing the chicken neck.

But in Chinese alliance Bangladesh can do it.

You are very much assuming that there will certainly be an India-China war and the USA will enter it. It is very preposterous. If there is a war, it will be between only India and China. The USA will support India, that's all.

Do not please assume too far. There is no prospect of even a war in a short time. Anyway, my question was why did you assume that BA will vacate the north in case of IA attacks. But, you have spread it too wide not for me to understand.

Today, the USA has started another Cold War and it will continue for a few decades. This is an American policy to keep its foes spending more money on defense and less on the economy. America wants its economy at the top.

So, I do not expect a war, and I do not think our north is just a piece of cake that IA will eat up at ease.

I am not assuming anything. I just want us to be prepared for everything. In this world no one is neutral in a true sense. Its same for Bangladesh.

I want alliance with China as a counter of QAUD. However everytime I said that, if ( in future) we have no other option but to choose a side, my vote is for China, that's all. It's last resort though.
