Bangladesh should also leapfrog in strategic technologies like aircraft carriers and nuclear power by partnerships with Russia and China, so that it can project power in the Bay of Bengal.

To project power, one should have a long coastline so that even if a blockade is attempted to be imposed, it becomes well nigh impossible since it would require a huge naval armada to do so.

One could have understood, if indeed there was a point, and if indeed it was intelligible!

As understandable as apocalypse - Any of a number of anonymous Jewish or Christian texts from around the second century b.c. to the second century a.d. containing prophetic or symbolic visions, especially of the imminent destruction of the world and the salvation of the righteous.

Visions!!

Soothsayers!

And what have you with total pretensions!

Alright wiseguy, let's make it easier for you. Iajdani says:

US - nukes - stationed - in - Turkey

Similarly,

Chinese - nukes - stationed - in - BD

You see parallels?

[TTT mode] One wonders how this ex-General passed the preliminary entrance exams of late 60s! [/TTT mode]

A country has to defend its territorial integrity by sacrificing its own blood. A Chinese nuclear or non-nuclear arsenal is the last thing BD should seek. If BD population cannot defend itself from aggression from its bigger neighbours then it should cease to exist. Enslavement by foreighners is the only punishment by such a weak nation.

Turkey is different. It is looking after the US interest against the Russians. Bosphorus is a strategic point that needs to be protected in an eventuality. But, Turkey is a very strong power with or without US nuclear arsenals. BD is not a strong power.

Well, I was just clarifying iajdani's post to con Gen TTT. I'm personally against creation and possession of nukes by any country - even China for that matter!

Understand the Bosphorus treaty first.

Do you feel that China will position her nukes in BD without ensuring that it has the control over it and not China?

Chalk and cheese,
