This is the day we officially kicked their asses. The day Bangladesh officially became a country. This is the greatest day in the history of this subcontinent. The best thing about this day is, every party involved in the war of 1971 benefitted from it.
Pakistan got rid of the part that was holding then back.
India broke their arch enemy into two pieces.
And for Bangladesh, we got our very own country.

Like every year this day is being celebrated in Bangladesh. Lighting has been arranged in many places from 15th December night for the celebration.

My best wishes to everyone here in PDF on the victory day of Bangladesh.

How it is the greatest day in the history of of the subcontinent? Yes indeed it's the greatest day of Bangladesh , no doubt.

I hope our non Bangladeshi fellows will not spoil the thread , and also requesting Bangladeshi fellows not to write any provocative comments , that can lead to anarchy .

Happy Victory day of Bangladesh . Wishes for all of our patriot compatriots, and well wishers .

For the subcontinent? That's pushing it. But still definitely for the Banglas. Congrats on your Independence Day.

For Pakistan they got rid off the most problematic region of their country on this day officially. It was both win and loss for them. They got defeated by Indians and Bangladeshis on this day but as a blessing in disguise they got rid of politically and geographically extremely difficult to control part of their country.

Happy Independence Day Let Us Move Forward From The Bitterness Of The Past And Towards A Better Happier Guilt Free Future

You're Right Because Many Reasons Can Be Quoted For The Break Up But At The End Of The Day The Main Reason Was It Was An Unnatural Arrangement From Day One.

Defending A Territory Detached From You By Thousand Miles Of Enemy Territory Pak Army Was Fighting A War They Lost From Day One

This is not independence day. That day is 26th March. It was the day when Bangladeshis declared independence from Pakistan and started war officially.

16th December is Victory Day. It is the day Bangladeshis got victory over Pakistan and Bangladesh was born as a country.

    The reason is this:

I don't think you can find a day better than that.

    Joy Bangla. Glory to Bengal.

Let's drink to peace and prosperity of Bangladesh
