What should be the next course of action regarding broadsheet?

In my opinion a new contract should be signed, where Pakistan should not be liable to pay any further amount. A team of investigators should be formed with credible investigators from all agencies to assist and co ordinate with broadsheet regarding exchange of information and actions that required to be taken on Pakistan end to facilitate recovery of wealth (much like panama JIT)

Broadsheet has certainly hit the nerves of a lot of people in Pakistan.

Better stick to deal..tracing money isnt that easy
But the deal should include money retrieved from OUTSIDE the country not INSIDE

There is no contract currently in place. Broadsheet is willing to return the amount paid to them. There is no harm in giving them a certain % from recovered wealth. They seem confident that's why they are willing to return the sum if a new contract is put in place.

But contract should be signed with 10-15% wealth given to them of they help in recovery from outside the country

This should be clear that only wealth recovered via courts outside pakistan should count

Even if it is 20%, its reasonable.
They should be paid when the recovered amount is transferred to Pakistan. I think Broadsheet is specialized to recover wealth from foreign accounts.

17.5% of the recovered amount from outside & inside. But only after the money has been recovered. Only when money is in our hands, then we should pay. Not before.

IMO, we all are loosing faith in Pakistan's justice system which shows that how easy to manipulate it for the gains of elite mafias and how difficult for common to get the justice - the system required to be overhauled completely.
Panama leaks/Kavi leaks or even the corrupt Nani leaks - nothing will happen. Kings keep on enjoying and slaves will keep on suffering.

Its locked situation. Any changes to the justice system require amendments to the constitution. Any amendments to the constitution require a majority vote. Ruling govt doesn't have majority. Opposition will never allow such amendments to be done, cause they will be caught and sent to jail. Plus they have spent lot of time and money buying judges. They are not going to let that investment go to waste.

This deal would make it so much easier to get the money back than dealing with individual countries. Broadsheet has all the tools and sources to freeze the accounts etc, and all Pakistan government then has to do is make a formal request to the relevant jurisdiction for the frozen moneys/assets to be transferred to the government. That is it. Very little Pakistan government has to do in all this - no local court cases etc.

He is a conman. He used Pakistan's authority by using NAB office to trace wealth whatever he had traced. He established an office in NAB headquarters during Gen Amjad tenure. He wrote letters for mutual legal assistance on behalf of NAB to different countries/authorities.

First of all we should make tougher, stronger laws to deal with money-laundering, tax-avoidance, cartels, hoarding etc.

We should hire professionals on salary basis, we should enhance assistance and gain assistance to and from OECD countries.

We should join forums like FATF to curb tax avoidance, money laundering.

Nawaz Sharif did not put Pakistan on FATF Gray list it was way after his ouster. In-fact Nawaz Sharif led Pakistan to come out of black list in 2015.

Its cause there was no action done by your khota leader. If an international body is saying do these things to curb money laundering, and you don't do it. They will place you on the list. This is exactly why happened in June 18. After months of failing to implement the recommendation by FATF, we were placed on the grey list. Its not something that happens overnight. So its your khota leader that did nothing, which resulted in us being put on the grey list.

Yeah. This all started when Khanani & Kalia and other forex exchange companies laundered around $10 billion between 2003-2008. Khanani & Kalia were arrested in 2008 on the complaint of FATF.
