Another 3.6GW gas plant MOU was signed with Siemens of Germany.

BD electricity capacity is going up by leaps and folds now.

"to construct a 3.6GW power plant in Bangladesh’s Patuakhali district."

BD can build so much capacity with gas plants as each 3.6GW plant will cost around 3-4 billion US dollars. So 7.2GW of gas power for 6-8 billion US dollars.
The single 2.4GW Roopur nuclear power plant that is being built is going to cost 12-14 billion US dollars.

LNG is expensive and quick fix. Most companies will be interested in LNG based plant due to low initial cost. BD will find itself in massive current account deficit if it allows these kind of projects. BD needs to put more emphasis on coal powered plant instead.

    Not really.

LNG fuel based plants cost half as much money to produce electricity than diesel fired power plants. They are only slightly more expensive to run than coal, but this is made up in the really low cost to build the plant in the first place.

BD is not putting all it's eggs in just natural gas as we are seeing construction of nuclear, coal and gas based plants currently.

Now, you are trying to make a positive contribution in your post. But what is this, "Leaps and folds"? Never read one before. Please correct it to "Leaps and bounds". The way you try to find fault with other people's English writing I thought you are another Shakespeare, Shelly or Byron. But, you do not know even the basics. You have proved yourself a BDBangali living in a village.

Only a moron can write "Leaps and folds". Are you a moron and very weak in English? Learn to write a few good sentences from John Keats. Hope you have heard about him.

@UKBengali how are you doing with your English study? I recommend you also Ernest Hemingway. He wrote many famous novels and short stories. His writings will also help you to know many English words and idioms. Bloody ক্ষেতের বাঙালি।
