It's not about learning. If the US was operating in similiar environment a platoon would be moving in heavily armoured convoy of MRAPs, couple of drones loitering above feeding live intel via video link to the platoon leader, few gunships within minutes call and even F-16s or a deadly formation of Thunderbolts ready to shread anything that moves. With such a multi-layered military BLA would struggle to cause any damage.

Instead Pakistan will have entire platoon sat atop Toyota hiluxe. What else do you expect?
I'd expect changes after multiple high casualty incidents at least. Americans in Iraq/Afghanistan learned a lot from their mistakes.

It is a bad development. Pakistan is set to gain nothing other than US influenced military officers. We need Pakistani military officers who serve Pakistan. Not US influenced military officers who undermine Pakistan.
Pakistan establishment is a problem here and they just can't seem to get US out of there heads and keep on going back to the US deep state to serve them again.

Money to buy influence in armed forces of Pakistan
Exactly, but so do the others. The Gulf Arab countries are at the top, the Islamic organisations who are loyal to foreign countries also do the same. Pakistan armed forces need to grow a backbone. Pakistan, its Islamic history, values, culture, progress comes first.

Most of our COASs, ACMs, even CNSs are US or Western educated. even the AVM who has just been given AM rank has studied in US. So much for infiltration and buying off lol.
How many do you hear are Beijing graduate? None...
So everyone, please be realistic and aware of how things go in Pakistan and what we prefer.

In its first budget, for fiscal year 2022, the Biden administration also seeks money for providing economic and social support to Pakistan and for training Pakistani military personnel.

On Friday, President Joe Biden unveiled the largest US budget in history — seeking $6 trillion for fiscal 2022. The budget calls for a 16 per cent increase in non-defence spending, mainly in social programmes and infrastructure projects.

The overall defence budget request of $715 billion — indicates a decline of about 3pc in real terms from the current year as Afghanistan, Iraq drawdowns cut $3.2bn from the US Army costs.
The budget still asks for $3.3bn in operational support to sustain the Afghanistan Security Forces, a 9.2pc increase from 2021.

Please Allah break this damn begging bowl
Did we request them?
I will be more worried about US social support in Pakistan. Be-warned... be-warned.

What are we providing in return? There is no such thing as "free lunch". I hope the negotiators aren't atleast that retarded as they were in Musharaf's era.

Its worse. Far far worse.

The last pro US government in Pakistan is struggling to keep up with polarized convulsions at the White House and Pentagon.

Pakistan can refuse any such programs, if they are deemed to be dangerous to national security. Should focus entirely on economic development and trade with the US. Need to get out of old cold war thinking now.

Why?
I fail to understand US policies. On one hand US is not giving Turkey green light to export T-129 with US engines to Pakistan, but this is ok? Why waste US tax payer money on something that is not going to make you win hearts and minds?
