Do you really think white Anglo Saxons will let an inferior brown man win that easily lol ? Nahhh I think the Chinese will the first one to take over the U.S government.

But your definition of brain drain is different , which I can support I guess. If our people can get into high enough positions then it will be better for us.
Not suggesting entirely taking over governments. Having notable presence is good enough as it will make their colleagues uncomfortable in making policy decisions that treat Bangladesh unfairly.

India and Israel currently benefit in a similar fashion.

Plenty of non-whites have already made it.

There is no reason to be happy about brain drain. Let the Indians be happy about Microsoft and Google being run by Indians.
I hate brain drain but his definition is a bit different , but yeah honestly I want our talented people to stay in Bangladesh. Just like South Korea or Taiwan , they had brain drain but it wasn't crazy and they did educate most of their people.

We have more than enough brains to overcome any brain drain. Just need to make quality education accessible to everyone by reforming universities and trade schools.

Lmao Indians and Jews , Jews have power here Indians are just servants. But yeah having a foothold in the American government helps for sure. Too bad AL doesn't want to play smart , oh wait I forgot they don't care about Bangladesh.

1.4% percent of gdp goes to education where in the west it's 4% I think , Bangladesh is falling back on it's education.

Bangladesh is unique due to crazy overpopulation. Easy to create 2 million proper intellectuals and 80 million skilled workers out of 180 million people if provided access to universal tertiary education (uni + trade).

I am not talking about average physics/chemistry graduates, engineers or developers but the really good ones with at least 130+ IQ.
Anyway the smart ones will still keep emigrating as they see better opportunities in the West.

Already under control. Fertility rate reduced to 2.3 (2.1 starts population decline).

Saw one study which predicts significant decline in BD population in the coming decades.

Need to keep Rohingya birth practices and Mullahs in check though.

Create 2 million intellectuals out of 180 million people. Enough can be retained to develop such a geographically tiny country.

Brain drain will always happen, because we have not YET created the condition to return to and live/work in Bangladesh safely and effectively 100%. I mean for Bangladeshi folks working in corporate America, living comfortably in the suburbs of major cities, what would be the impetus to return?

Those who return to Bangladesh are mostly younger folks from industry-owner or business families, who have assurances of contacts who help them settle comfortably with a nice livelihood back home, rather than fight in corporate circles in the US, EU or UK.

One of the major issues is the difference in culture between foreign-educated and locally-educated folks in Bangladesh, but that is mainly among younger folks. I have seen this among young local graduates who feel foreign educated people with foreign business experience should not be paid more. Which is puzzling to say the least. As recounted by some of my friends at the DCCI.

The value of a foreign education and experience at global corporates is not as appreciated in Dhaka (because of ignorance mostly) business circles as it is in the rest of the world (even as much as in S'pore and Hong Kong).

Bangladesh business owners are slowly realizing the need for recognizing (and compensating) foreign educated Bangladeshi talent though, instead of trying to hire fast-talking Indian visa overstayers with padded resumes at cheap salaries.

Foreign education and education is still valued by the business community.

We need Bangladeshi-origin people in important Western positions in large numbers.
While they cannnot be expected to compromise the national interests of their respectively host nations, what we might see is more reasonable policies towards Bangladesh.

For example, if there were more Bangladeshi representations in the US Congress, State Department and DoD, we might have seen less unreasonable strings being attached on major major military hardware exports as the US knows very well that Bangladesh will not go around attacking other nations unnecessarily.
The same goes for reinstatement of GSP privileges.

This is why I support brain drain. Bangladesh will never produce enough high paying jobs locally for everyone (90 million+ adults) due to resource constraints no matter how much we industrialise. In order to reach high income per capita, we need to churn out tens of millions quality, skilled expats. If we send millions of well educated expats to the West, thousands of them would inevitably reach top positions of governments and corporations.
Investing in education to create infernational standard universities and trade schools is a no-brainer.
If everyone has access to quality education, we would still have enough talented people staying back to develop local industries.
For example, if we produce 80 million quality grads and tradespeople and 50 million end up emigrating, we would still have 30 million to man our industries.
This is what I am talking about. Upskill workers and they can make good money with good working conditions and dignity instead of slaving away in the Middle East:

Why do you care? He is an American.
Assalamu alaikum ustad ji ! After long time we meet again!

So an off topic question, I read some news nowadays about the new found love relationship between Indian stooge BAL and Pakistan!

I hope they are going to marry soon! Now what shall you do if your "Na-Pak la Hasina govt" and Pakistan get married?

Did they send you any card of the marriage ceremony ? Just curious!
