Somehow I wonder how the **** our ancesters thought these people can be an "Islamic" country? How they named it east Pakistan? Should have named it indian choppistan.
Kid , we are your ancestors, don't forget. Pakistan Dominion was made by Bengalis. Try to learn your own history. I will not push further though, as I don't consider such people ( who don't know their own history) worthy of such discussion. First learn ABC of history then come to post controversial topic.

Start with , "History of Pakistan for children" , it will be better for you and few other Pakistanis who are deeply in love with China ( which is a pure pagan nation ; although Bangladesh is also pro China nation , but that's different topic) and call Bangladesh Hindu country!

Are you forgetting that India also has the same FPTP system as UK .. and this system is thriving and no one wants to change it in India.
Before modi , India's democracy beas pure: perhaps one of the purest!

Bangladesh never had democracy, all election was rigged ( more or less) , so there is no need to compare pre Modi India and Bangladesh when it's about democracy.

he is like Nawaz Sharif ,
Takes Comission from every development project (Hawa Bhobon)
10% of Dhaka City Corp Budget (Mr 10%)
Launders said money to UK , buys expensive apartments etc etc
When his party loses power , he claims to be ''sick''
needs treatment overseas (prefferably London) very serious condition
Gets '' medical treatment'' infact , he has been getting so-called treatment for the last 10-12 years
Agree. But there are some major difference between Pakistani and Bangladeshis I found nowadays.

Bangladesh is most emotional nation , and here if you give a free and fare election, Tareq chora will rule forever. The reason is he is the son of King Zia ( don't take it othewise , I respect Zia you know ), so he will be next king. And then his children and so on...... .

Even BAL hooligans aren't so disturbing.

On the other hand , Pakistan Court suspended Nawaz sharif as Prime minister. So now tell me what country is more advance? Tribal Bangladesh ( idol worshiper of two family unasty ) , or Pakistan?

So yes in order to save Bangladesh and it's crazy people, you must keep Tareq out from politics.

Let them anihilated, I will be the first one who will desire democracy.

Because dictatorship is at least better than family dynasty, and Mujib wasn't founder of BAL !

BD already under pressure and it seems like they are giving in
worst case scenario: BD gives in to US demands to get some legitimacy
Nothing will happen. Only corrupt and greedy police officers , high officials might face problem. You see now a DC reise his finger at dipu moni?

What if RAB is renamed ( as BDR is renamed as BGB?) , Corrupted and inhumane people removed?

Who knows maybe a big part of govt want this as well as Haisna herself?

But will she admid? Never ever. Now they know the best what's going on.

Bangladesh is geo politically very important and China will not seat on hand on hand , if USA put extra pressure!

"These" people initiated the movement for an independent country for Muslims. Not the other way around. Read history, it helps sometime.

I am not sure whats your definition of a pure democracy, but trust me that Indian democracy is unchanged by Modi. Even now, BJP loses and wins state elections. It may lose national elections in some distant day (2029 or later) when a credible opposition stands up.

Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian prime minister Narendra Modi. -- UNB file photo

Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina has said that they look forward to working together with India in the next 50 years and beyond towards realising the shared vision of building a peaceful and prosperous region.

‘The year 2021 was a historic one for the Bangladesh-India relationship, marked by celebrations of epochal events and engagements at the highest levels,’ she said in a message to her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on the occasion of the Republic Day of India.

On behalf of the government and the people of Bangladesh and on her own behalf, Sheikh Hasina extended her warmest wishes and heartiest felicitations to Modi and the people of India on the occasion of the 73rd Republic Day of India.

The prime minister thankfully recalled Modi’s visit to Dhaka in March 2021 to join the celebrations of the Golden Jubilee of the Independence of Bangladesh, the birth centenary of father of the nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and 50 years of establishment of diplomatic ties between Bangladesh and India.

‘Your gracious presence on these occasions had added extra enthusiasm to the celebrations and allowed us to further consolidate our excellent bilateral relations, which so happily exist between our two countries,’ she said.

Hasina recalled with gratitude the support rendered by the government and the people of India during the Liberation War in 1971 that set the foundation of a unique relationship.

The joint celebration of Moitri Dibosh, across the globe, held on December 6, the day when India recognised Bangladesh as a sovereign and independent State in 1971, projected this special relationship, she said.

‘The unique ties of close friendship, cooperation, and trust between our two countries have flourished and grown from strength to strength in recent years. Many new frontiers of cooperation alongside all traditional areas have been identified, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic,’ Hasina mentioned.

She said, ‘Let this joyous occasion be a special one, as India is also celebrating ‘Azadika Amrit Mahotsav’ to mark 75 years of her independence.’

Standard dose of "friendship to all, malice to none" diplomacy. Nothing to get too worked up about.

Sheikh Hasina won't be in power for the next 50 years, nor will BAL. This is nothing but loose talk.

The moment India starts pushing their Muslim citizens to Bangladesh, all this brotherhood and love will go off in smoke.

There is no willingness in an average Indian and an average Bangladeshi to start an unnecessary conflict with each other
Yes, you are right. But Modi and Amit Shah have slapped our faces very hard after they enacted two anti-Muslim laws in their so-called secular country.

The laws were poorly worded but were not anti-Muslim but pro-minority of neighboring countries.
No one is going to push people from India to BD. Chill.

They have their followers. But in most likelihood if a fair elections occurs, it will go to a national unity coalition govt. composed of representation from all parties. Technocrats and Business people are becoming more active in politics, which most people see as a healthy sign.

@Atlas bhai, what was the alternative of a CTG govt. again? Sorry I forgot.
All the parties together to form a national govt after the election would be very difficult to control in the real case scenario. I believe there will be a coalition govt supported by the majority of the MPs after the election.

In a real Parliamentary democracy, only the like-minded parties join together to form such a govt. Sometimes, when it is a minority govt, some other parties may also support a bill.

The participating parties usually go for long negotiations and exchange of opinions before forming a coalition govt in a Western democracy. However, in a country where people are not really democratic-minded go after power plays. Such as, give us this number of cabinet portfolios.

If the politicians do not talk beforehand in a coalition govt, it is possible that such a govt will fall and in the next election, BAL will come back and Hasina showing her thumbs.

The laws were poorly worded but were not anti-Muslim but pro-minority of neighboring countries.

A pro-minority law is actually meant for fueling discontent in the neighboring countries. This is how two countries relationship goes down.

India is not really trusted by our people and after the two laws, even the BD govt is in a dilemma. Indian diplomacy has not given due consideration to its neighbors' feelings.

Correct, the same applies to an average Indian and an average Pakistani. Conflicts are not started by the people, rather states on account of their diverging interests and policies.

Cant say about Pakistani .. after any incident in Pakistan, many voices call for attacks on India.
Your people have a consistent demand of snatching away J&K .. The day when your people will say that they dont want an inch of our land, that day I will consider that average Pakistani wants no conflict with India.
I dont blame common Pakistanis though .. They have been brainwashed and misinformed since birth.

Bangladesh is an exemplary colony. As far as Bangla toes the line, we should welcome positive steps from Viceroy Hasina.
We Indians do not appreciate your attempt to sow discord between India and Bangladesh by insulting BD.
