Well what'd expect from braindead corrupt Bangladeshi officials ? And most Bangladeshis don't like Bangladesh anyways and that's why they move to better nations , and that's why Bangladesh's passport sUcks in world ranking.

Bangladesh is country that keeps screaming we need aid while at the same time celebrating for basic infrastructure. Of course the country isn't going to grow , it's been 50 years and Bangladesh isn't still developed.

Most people in Bangladesh don't have hope for the country , so that's why they celebrate for basic things like proper infrastructure or basic ship building.

Bangladesh is a nation that dreams of becoming developed while at the same time not putting enough effort into it.

Other Bangladesh's may say " MUH HUH WE MAKE MEDICINE AND AL DEVELOPED THIS SHITHOLE" but for me I don't see that much improvement in Bangladesh compared to 90s Bangladesh.

Same sHithole with minor improvements , that's how I see Bangladesh

When your economy is based around mostly fk making clothes and exporting fish , good luck cause any other tech related manufacturing in Bangladesh needs foreign support or tools.
I advise Bangladesh not to have FTA with China and India to give good supportive environment for domestic industry to grow. And we know that it is difficult for domestic private owned company to compete with giant global companies, it is why there should be effort made to grow state owned companies as well.

State owned companies can be successful as well like happening in China and Singapore, Indonesia also has big state owned companies where the revenue alone is comparable with 1/5 Indonesia GDP and is still quite profitable. https://www.wsj.com/articles/indonesia-makes-play-for-infrastructure-investment-1425592554

Making ship engine is not easy but state owned companies can be tasked to do so while private owned companies usually avoid that kind of endevour due to high risk and high investment problem, not to mention the competitor is established foreign companies from German, South Korea, Japan etc. At least component like steels should be made inside the country.

I agree , Bangladesh luckily makes steel but we don't see anyone making home grown engines sadly. We do hear news about Bangladesh trying to make an automotive brand but only god knows how long that will take.

Bangladesh shipbuilding it mostly making the ships hulls , not other components like radars or engines which makes it less impressive.

Oh and also Bangladeshs hate taking risks , so an homegrown engine seems like a dream to us

Do you not think this is a bit pessimistic?

Economic forecasters predict BD economy to move from around 35 now to 20 largest in the world by 2035.

They would not make these predictions without proper reasons. These people know far more than any of us on this forum.

It is easy to bash BD but remember it came from almost nothing in 1971, 24 years behind both India and Pakistan in independence, and not only does it have higher per capita than both but is growing faster.

As always, when you have no points to prove anything, you go after all the big data when this very poor LDC BD is requesting other countries to keep its economic status as it is until 2026. Here you are talking about 2035.

How many centuries will it take to move to 2035?

ICE cars are kind of on the way out. You don't want to invest in technology that may not be much in use in about 10-15 years.

EV car is the way forward.
