Do you really think war in this area can help Bangladesh?

The peaceful settlement of the Rohingya issue is the real help to Bangladesh.

There is only one peaceful solution to the Rohingya problem. Repatriate Rohingya refugees and protect their safety.
And how exactly is BD going to do that unless China quits thumbtwiddling and finally puts its weight to some good use? Chinese support is what props ups the Bumese regime. China can easily bend them to their will by threatening to withdraw all support including no more vetos at UN. The truth is China does not care. It is Bangladesh's fault for our over-reliance on China. China is nothing more than a economic partner for Bangladesh - the sooner our leader get it through their thick skulls the better.

So what do you think China should do to solve the Rohingya problem?

So, you want the Chinese gov to do what the US and EU propose whatever in the UN to condemn or sanction MM, so China is not to use its veto in UN security council to defend its interest in the region that is against Wests inteference in the area and for the stability and peace of the region. You want China to be a puppet of the West, acting acoording to their wishes ? Besides, on strategic security and defence matters, I dont think BD has tilted towards Chinese side or interest say from India or US.

If China really care about the Rohingya issue, why do they not introduce their own sanctions against Myanmar? Is the West stopping China? Excuses, excuses.
The truth is, China is on the Burmese genocidal side on the Rohingya issue which some of you are too cowardly to admit.

The quicker the morons running Bd govt realise and act upon it, the better.

Nobody is willing to take in the Rohinygas, seems like they will be turned into something like the Kurds in the area, very dangerous.

Rohingyas is related to British colonization, and Britain should be responsible. Sending peacekeepers should consider South American countries such as Brazil. The Myanmar issue should be led by ASEAN countries.China is one dollar less than Britain. The Myanmar issue should be resolved through consultation among neighboring countries, and China will not participate if Bangladesh invites external forces.

So you mean China imposes sanctions on Myanmar?

OK. I have a few questions.

1, How can sanctions help Rohingya people?

2, Why do you think Rohingya people will not be hurt more because of sanctions?

3, How do you ensure that Han people in the northern autonomous region of Myanmar and other ethnic minorities from China are not harmed by sanctions?

4, How do you deal with the refugee problem caused by sanctions?

Not sanctioning becos its against Chinas geostrategic interest to antagonize an important Chinese neighbouring country, only a fool would do that based on just what you say. Excuse me, dont blame the Rh problem or whatever on China, China is no party in anything related to the matter, period, dont have bloody mouth on China. China is no West or BD puppet, China will look after its interest !

Easy.

1. Sanctioning Burmese Generals and blocking military supplies will make the Burmese cave in and rehabilitate Rohingyas.

2. Burmese generals would like retaining their power and wealth over anything else. Eating a humble pie and returning Rohingyas to their homeland is a small price to pay.

3. Sanctions should not be just trade sanctions but also include personal sanctions against the generals.

4. Sanctioning generals personally would bring them to their knees very quickly. Economic sanctions would not be needed for too long.

Exactly! In this case "Chinese interest" is in siding with genocidal maniacs. No two ways about it.

@Destranator , tbh we have to be realistic. China won't go against Myanmar. And the genocide happened during su kiye regime that was pro west!

Btw, India itself abuse Kashmiri Muslims, still west remain silent. Why ? Simply because they have bigger interest in India. Same goes for Israel!

Bangladesh can do the same thing that serve our own interests! So be it by remaining neutral , or joining Chinese or western side! This is the way of the world, you know for sure!

So I don't blame them. As I would do the same!

That's why

Easy.

4. Sanctioning generals perdonally will bring their knees very quickly. Economic sanctions would not be needed for too long.

For number 4 , can be suicidal for China , that many Chinese won't admit! But it's reality!

If Myanmar join west and block the bay if Bengal for China , China herself will be screwed up.

However some say that Myanmar is nothing but an extension of China herself , under the coat of another country!

Perhaps that's the reason @MH.Yang doesn't care about central govt of Myanmar!

You mean that China not only needs to impose sanctions on Myanmar, but also requires China to start a war against Myanmar, and then decompose Myanmar, expel other ethnic groups in Rakhine State, and let Rohingya people establish a country in Rakhine State. As for the Han people in northern Myanmar and other ethnic minorities from China, you don't care, do you?
