Azm-E-nau V - Network Centric war games by Pakistan Army

    So the new war games are going to be network centric. this is going to upgrade Pakistan Army to a new defence capability.

    Azm-e-Nau III was actual war games in the field.
    Azm-e-Nau IV was just 'table-top' wargaming scenarios held at NDU.
    havnt heard of the V version.

    Rawalpindi - June 16, 2013: Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and Chief of Air Staff , Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafiq Butt, attended on Saturday the concluding session of the Army War Games (Exercise AZM-E-NAU 4), which commenced at the National Defence University, Islamabad on 3 June 2013. Army War Game (Exercise AZM-E-NAU 4) was attended by a large number of senior officers of Pakistan Army, Navy and PAF. During the War Game, spanning over two weeks, strategic and operational plans were crystallized and validated for developing a comprehensive response.

    Operational plans of Pakistan Air Force were also finalized in close coordination with the Army. This War Game was the culmination of series of such exercises, which have cumulatively contributed towards operational preparedness to meet the evolving threat. While addressing the participants, Chief of Army Staff reiterated Pakistan Army�s resolve to meet all future challenges squarely. He stated that the Army in coordination with the Navy and PAF is fully configured and prepared to thwart any military aggression against the country. He also added that the military success depended on being fully prepared, support of the people of Pakistan and other state institutions.

    Chief of Army Staff also appreciated the dedication and commitment of all the participants of the War Game whose contributions during the War Game were of immense professional value.

    I have heard of it, that Army is preparing, maybe its VI. I was mistaken, may close the thread, let time reveal what it would be.
