One should learn how to screw up your case from Samiul Haq :)
    ----------------------------

ISLAMABAD: Defence of Pakistan Council (DPC) chief Maulana Samiul Haq said on Wednesday that the Pakistan Army would not take any action against the Haqqani network.

Addressing a press conference at the National Press Club, where he lambasted US President Donald Trump’s recent remarks about Pakistan, he said that those he was affiliated with “were still fighting the Americans in Afghanistan”.

Afghanistan is a hole, it cant be saved

its falling to the Taliban, rife with corruption and chaos

we tried to help the Afghans and they turned out to be namak harams we cant waste our time to help such people

seal the border, increase patrols and if the Afghans and Americans do the same in their side no one can pass, job done

If you stop trolling for once, then you are worthy of a reply but I will make an exception this one time.

The bolded part is beside the point, there is no use of blocking the border when the entire command and control of the Talis is right in Pindi. Do you really believe that a bunch of hillbillies like the Talis can fight a sophisticated conflict without with being run by a professional institution aka GHQ? ( the world is not stupid)

he said right, why Should we make more enemies, i support sami ul haq's stance.

Pakistan should fence the Afghan border on war footing and pressure Afghanistan to control their border so terrorists cant find sanctuaries on either side. We can do only this much. Dont expect us to act against them..

    of course they can

they have done it for years, and big chuncks of Afghanistan public support them, they occupy entire regions of Afghanistan and are funded through the drugs trade

Your failure as a state is your own problem, Pakistan cant waste its time and resources trying to help a near worthless Afghanistan fix itself

Remove the remaining few million Afghans off our soil, seal the border, make it very very tough to go into or out of Afghanistan thats the best plan

if your accusing our country of cross border infiltration then how about creating more Afghan border posts and patrols

Afghanistan is a mess, the Americans are tired and Pakistan refuses to be a scapegoat for the shithole that is Afghanistan

Stupid excuse by the way. Fence the border and patrol it or else stop throwing your baseless accusations.

The part of the world you side with is really stupid ..... they thought child molesters and drug addicts would win them a war .............

    Very good a straightforward answer.

Then why the double talk on all international forums that Pak does not differentiate between the Talis.
Also when you do this in your interest there will be repercussions that you have to live with ( i.e. latest American Strategy for South Asia) which will have severe consequences for Pakistan.

We should seal border on our side and increase patrolling that's it we've already done enough lost enough people in this WOT.

and if still someone's in delusion that terrorists are coming in from Pakistan than seal up your own border and construct new posts and shoot on sight whoever is trying to cross border illegally.

    Welcome back buddy
A new chapter of bloodshed is soon going to start

So ignorant you and Trump are my dear.
It's Haybat Ullah Akhunzada, that matters now, not Jalaludin Haqqani.
Since Akhunzada became chief, haven't they and you seen any change in battleground ?
I can expect still crying like an old parrot: Haqqani Haqqani Haqqani, from Indians and Americans, but are you also foreigner in Afghanistan ?

BTW Samiul Haq doesn't enjoy any leverage over Haybat Ullah Akhunzada, as he himself enjoys high ranking in Madrasa scholarship. He is a solo flyer and doesn't need Samiul Haq's crutches and don't think ISI is on driving seat anymore.

Hmmm. Sure you want take him seriously?

Sami ul has is a very controversial figure and for the most part was known as a TTP sympathizer. He again and again advocated zero military operations and removal of armed forces and he criticized the govt severely for its militaristic approach against terrorists.

On top of it all in 2014 he was again criticized when nawaza made him the mediator ( unbelievable) between TTP and govt and he showed remorse for the 2014 attack on militants.

With all said and done and considering his close links with the Taliban, would you take his statement seriously?

He is nobody to speak on pakistan and its policy against terrorists.

US has zero leverage over Pakistan today . There are already talks of suspending aid altogether . $100-300 million annually is peanuts

Good to talk to you again my friend :)

    Here is a good read.

    https://www.dawn.com/news/1353481/washington-bad-cop

    She summarizes it very well.

"Pakistan might placate the US in the short term. They are good at that. But in the long run, little will change. Trump’s bluff can’t be called because he isn’t bluffing. If Pakistan walks away, many will wish that they had done more to manage the relationship"

If You think Pakistan differences between good and bad Taliban, US and Afghanistan also differences between them. The only thing is Pakistan supports the opposite group of the Taliban and US,AFG supports the other one. If ISI supports AT, NDS,CIA supports TTP. Regarding consequences, Pakistan alone will not suffer the backlash but all involved parties will suffer.

By the way I would be interested to hear your opinion on the recent US South Asian strategy.
As an Afghan this has been the most straightforward and clear cut policy from the US vis-a-vis Pakistan.
