Two Pakistan Army personnel, including a captain, embraced martyrdom and four others injured during a cross-border attack on the Pakistani posts along the Pak-Afghan border in Bajaur Agency on Monday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has said.

“During the exchange of fire, brave sons of soil Capt Junaid Hafeez and Sepoy Raham embraced shahadat while four soldiers got injured,” the military’s media wing said in a statement.

According to the ISPR, the cross-border attack was “effectively responded” by Pakistani troops, killing as many as 8-10 terrorists, and many were seeing “running back injured”.

The military said that the absence of writ of the Afghan government in its border region like many other areas of the country facilitates the terrorists in carrying out such attacks.

Islamabad has often accused Kabul for hosting militants responsible for attacks in the country

May Allah accept their sacrifice and May Allah grant strength to their families.

Then people call what is army doing for Pakistan. This is what they are doing, protecting our homeland with life.

I think Pakistan replied with artillery strikes (Afghans claimed it was missiles). Afghans reported casualties.

But terrorists were on height and started shooting at combat team of Junaid. Since morning bodies were not recovered due to heavy firing and Junaid lost his life due to blood loss.

Unless Pakistan Army doesn't start seeking revenge on Afghan security forces, this bloodshed of Pakistani forces will continue.

You claim the dead P.A. troops were advancing up a previously-unoccupied ridge - right on the Pakistan-Afghan border? What's your source?

Until Pakistan starts to punish ANA and Afghan government, incident like these would become routine.

    RIP.
