last time I remember Iraq winning against Iran was in 2003, I could be wrong, but that match I remember I watched and Iraq won it

I have a feeling Iran will win the Asia Cup. Either them or definitely Japan again who are like Germany of Asia. Australia doesn't stand a chance against Japan and probably Iran. They lost against Korea and the reason they dominated against Kuwait and Oman because they belong to division 43 league.

Why does the Iranian supporters and the players act so wild when they score like they have won a cup lol?

No offense, the Arab teams are a joke, they can't beat anyone but themselves. UAE was lucky because Qatar and Bahrain made them in but it would be a miracle if they make it in. :omghaha:

2 of the final 8 teams are Arab. Many of the usual Arab performers (KSA, Kuwait and Iraq) are way, way below standard in those years. Besides the best Arab teams nowadays (Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia etc.) or historical giants (Egypt) are not even participating in the AFC for obvious reasons. The Arab football leagues are still best in all of Asia likewise in Africa.

Call me next time Eritrea achieves anything let alone wins an international football tournament.:omghaha:

Shut up clown and worry about your Indian cousins. You are an Indian, sorry.

Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria are as much as Arab as Kenia is English.

Of course they are. Most of them identity as Arabs and basically every Moroccan, Tunisian and Algerian already has Arab ancestry to various degrees. Wide-scaled and continious Arab migrations to the Maghreb are no secret either. Aside from that then Arabs and Berbers are related people. Often you cannot tell them apart.

    It's spelled Kenya.

And many don't identify themselves as Arabs. Besides, the Arabic language has been enforced on the indigenous population due to colonization and Arabization, but the native language and people of these states are still not Arabic. Moreover, most anthropologists do not consider the people of these states to be Arabic. The fact that they are politically aligned with other Arab states is a different story.

They are Arab states. Arabic language has been the lingua franca of those states for 1400 years in some areas. People identity as Arabs. Practically everyone has Arab ancestry to various degrees. Arab culture rules supreme. Islam too. Aside from that then Arabs and Berbers are already related. Dozens of ancient Arab tribes (around 200-300) migrated to the Maghreb and settled.

Also much of the settled areas of the Maghreb (coastal) were settled by other Semitic peoples prior to the arrival and Arab conquest. Phoenicians being a major component.

Arabization occurred everywhere in the Semitic speaking world which now almost exclusively speaks Arabic. On the Arabian Peninsula itself Arabization occurred. Hence why you have several distinctive Semitic languages in Yemen and Oman to this day.

Anyway this has nothing to do with the thread.

There's no need to go off topic, Khaleej supremacist.

This is about Asia Cup, I stand my point Japan, the Oz and Iran so far becomes the most exciting to watch due to the atmosphere and attacking pressure etc.

Even the North Africans wouldn't dare to face those division 32 GCC teams LOL!

Saudi Arabians are not "Gulf Arabs". There is no such thing to begin with. Only 200.000 people speak Gulf Arabic in KSA. More speak it in Iraq.

Yes, it's about the Asian Cup and since you are a Eritrean of all people you are in no position to insult Arab teams here as your country is a big giant joke in comparison. On all fronts actually.

    Quit the joking and insults.
