I am a total Newbie when it comes to this part of the Indian Classical Music.

If anyone knows any artist's name could you post them here? I will check them out in my own leisure time.

Not expecting many takers in PDF, but hey what the hell.

@Indischer @scorpionx (I don't know why)

South Indian Aakashawani(AIR) airs this "crying music" during the noon and afternoon times in the 70s and 80s. We were desperate as kids to hear some Hindi/Regional songs. What Aakashwani aired during those times are hypocrisy enforcing some old men of those times idea to "popularize" saastreeya sangeet. Nobody seems to want to hear this crying. But, Carnatic music takes maximum slots while time for movie songs were a rarity. Even during early DD(Doordarshan) days, waiting for Chitrahar on wednesdays and movies on saturdays/fridays as if government is giving some sakath to us, common people.
PS: no disrespect to those who enjoy Karnatic music, but some of us finds it monotonous.
