The Zionists are totally trying to fragment whatever pan-Arab solidarity that ever existed. They are using puppet monarchies from the Persian Gulf to Maghreb to accomplish that. However, in the long run they can never buy the Arab or Muslim street sentiment.

The Israeli company Rafael is ready to supply Morocco with Iron Dome systems

"le Desk" reports that Morocco is interested in Rafael's Iron Dome system, which allows the interception and destruction of small projectiles, launchers, drones and cruise missiles and would be useful for increasing the protection provided by the berm in the Moroccan Sahara.

According to some sources, the cost of purchasing the system is around 50 million euros.

According to the site's sources, Ariel Caro, Rafael's executive vice president of commercial development and marketing, has already made contact with the Royal Army for the possible supply of the first complete battery with its radar and control center. At an estimated cost of about $190 million (the battery alone costs $50 million).

He said that this potential contract and other contracts with radars developed by the Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) will be signed on the table during the announced visit of the Israeli Defense Minister, Benny Gantz, to Rabat, which is likely to take place in the next few months.

There is also news circulating about a possible deal in which Israel will provide Morocco with advanced Barak-8 long-range air defense systems. The deal may include 6 Barak batteries with the possibility of adding 2 more.

The Barak 8 system, produced by the Israeli company IAI, is an air defense system with a range of 140 km against all air targets, including drones. It is said that Morocco is differentiating between it and the European SAMPT.

Iron Dome, high success rate

After a lengthy development process, and with financial assistance from the United States, Iron Dome entered service in April 2011, with its first battery placed near the southern Israeli city of Beersheba. A few days later, it intercepted the first Grad rocket fired from the Gaza Strip towards southern Israel. To date, Iron Dome has successfully carried out more than 2,400 interceptions.

Iron Dome has been used during two military operations against Palestinian factions in the Hamas-run coastal enclave and during rounds of violence along the Gaza border in recent years.

The regime also intercepted 90% of the more than 4,000 rockets and missiles fired by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad during the recent Operation Guardians of the Walls. The regime also intercepted missiles fired at Israel from Syria.

The interceptor missile carries 24 pounds of explosive and can intercept an incoming missile from 4 to 70 km away and can calculate when the missiles will land in open areas, choosing not to intercept them, or toward civilian centers.

The Iron Dome, designed to shoot down short-range missiles, is an integral part of Israel's multi-layered defense system.

The Arrow system (Arrow-2 and Arrow-3) is an extra-terrestrial ballistic interceptor and David's Sling missile defense system designed to intercept tactical ballistic missiles, medium to long-range missiles, as well as cruise missiles launched from ranges between 40 and 300 km.

Israel is constantly improving the technology of the country's anti-missile systems in order to expand and improve the system's performance capabilities in the face of an unprecedented array of threats.

The Iron Dome system is designed to counter short-range rockets and 155 mm artillery shells with a range of up to 70 kilometers. According to its manufacturer, Iron Dome will operate day and night, under adverse weather conditions, and can respond to multiple threats simultaneously.

Iron Dome has three central components:

  • Detection & Tracking Radar: the radar system is built by Elta, an Israeli defense company and subsidiary of Israel Aerospace Industries, and by the IDF.
  • Battle Management & Weapon Control (BMC): the control center is built for Rafael by mPrest Systems, an Israeli software company.
  • Missile Firing Unit: the unitlaunches the Tamir interceptor missile, equipped with electro-optic sensors and several steering fins for high maneuverability. The missile is built by Rafael.[26] A typical Iron Dome battery has 3–4 launchers (20 missiles per launcher).

The system's radar is referred to as EL/M-2084. It detects the rocket's launch and tracks its trajectory. The BMC calculates the impact point according to the reported data, and uses this information to determine whether the target constitutes a threat to a designated area. Only when that threat is determined, is an interceptor missile fired to destroy the incoming rocket before it reaches the predicted impact area..
Iron Dome is built to deploy in a scattered pattern. Each launcher, containing 20 interceptors, is independently deployed and operated remotely via a secure wireless connection. Reportedly, each Iron Dome battery is capable of protecting an urban area of approximately 150 square kilometers.

In July 2015, Rafael released video footage of Iron Dome interceptors destroying several low and high-flying UAVs in a test. Although some targets were destroyed by proximity-operated warheads, in others the interceptor achieved a kinetic hit. The company says the system is capable of destroying armed UAVs before they can get close enough to release their munitions, and most medium-altitude reconnaissance UAVs before they are close enough to survey an area..

In June 2016, it was revealed that the Iron Dome had been tested to successfully intercept salvos of artillery shells, and "multiple" air-to-ground precision guided munitions (PGMs) similar to the Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM)..

There is development of the Iron Beam energy weapon to complement Iron Dome, which is cheap to fire, has unlimited "ammunition", and is effective at short range..

Morocco and Israel... a defense memorandum of understanding that outlines the features of the future

A spokesman for the Israeli Defense Ministry said that his country and Morocco signed a defense memorandum of understanding in Rabat, on Wednesday, which paves the way for military sales and military cooperation between them after the two countries upgraded their diplomatic relations last year.

The memorandum was signed during the visit of Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz to Morocco.

Gantz is scheduled to hold talks with Abdel Latif Loudi, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of the National Defense Administration, and other officials.

The purpose of the visit

This visit aims to "lay the foundation stone for establishing future security relations between Israel and Morocco," according to what "AFP" quoted an Israeli official as saying.

This is the first time that the Israeli Defense Minister is on an official visit to Morocco, since the resumption of bilateral relations between Rabat and Tel Aviv about a year ago.

Last December, Morocco and Israel agreed to resume bilateral contacts and diplomatic relations between the two countries, including opening diplomatic representations in Rabat and Tel Aviv, in addition to launching direct airlines and establishing economic relations.

Strengthening military cooperation

The visit of the Israeli Defense Minister to Morocco, which was described by Israeli media as "historic", is of great importance, and according to observers, it would define the features of security cooperation between Rabat and Tel Aviv, and lay the foundation stone for defense cooperation between the two countries.

Moroccan expert on military and security affairs, Mohamed Choucair, says that this visit falls within the framework of downloading the agreement signed between Morocco and Israel last year, which included cooperation in several sectors, including the military sector.

Choucair added in an interview with "Sky News Arabia", "This visit will contribute to strengthening the cooperation that has existed for years between the intelligence services in the two countries, especially with the high professionalism that characterizes the work of the Moroccan apparatus, and its effective contribution to dismantling terrorist cells inside the Kingdom, and curbing curb it in a number of European countries.

The spokesman stresses the importance of this visit, which is the first of its kind by an Israeli defense minister to Morocco, in order to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the military field, and points to the Israeli development at the level of military technology, especially with regard to defense systems and the drone industry.

https://www.skynewsarabia.com/middle-east/1481652-المغرب-وإسرائيل-مذكرة-تفاهم-دفاعية-ترسم-ملامح-المستقبل

The signed agreements concern the following areas:
intelligence
cyber war
military industry
joint exercises
Protection of technical information
fight against terrorism

According to Monte Carlo information, after signing the defense memorandum of understanding, it is expected that Gantz will meet with General Dokor Darmy, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces, Commander of the Southern Region, in a special military reception, and at the end of the meeting between the two sides, Gantz will meet with senior security officials in the country. headed by the Director of Foreign Intelligence, Yassin Al-Mansoori, and all the senior leaders of the General Staff.

A Defense Ministry official said that while Israel maintains close security ties with Jordan and Egypt, which which it also has peace deals, it does not have memoranda of understanding with them, making the deal with Morocco “unprecedented.”

Officially, the agreement includes the transfer of technology and the military industry..

Currently, the Israeli defense industries have become fully available to Morocco according to the signed agreement, especially after the signing of the Technical Information Protection Agreement. These agreements were the only administrative obstacle to starting work on a huge military deal that will upset all balances regarding specific game changer weapons.

A Moroccan economic delegation heads to Israel

Chakib El Alj, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises, will head from December 12 to 15, a Moroccan economic mission to Tel Aviv; On the sidelines of the launch of the new air route linking Casablanca and Tel Aviv. The Moroccan economic mission includes various sectors of common interest such as tourism, industry, agriculture, technology and innovation, in addition to education, health and renewable energies
